Hey all. Thought it'd be fun idea if we all shared the first runs we ever submitted to the site. Feel free to link your run and even talk about what you did in it or how you improved. I'll start. Hopefully more people join. :)
https://www.speedrun.com/skylanders_swap_force/run/m35rj56y This is an IL run of the first level in Skylanders: Swap Force, my beloved childhood game that I've been frequently speedrunning since December 2019. At the time, the Wii categories were empty, save for two runs of the same IL. I was able to beat both by using the fastest character in the game. In August 2020, Kory Skip was discovered, skipping one enemy fight sequence in the level. Since then, I've improved the IL by 41 seconds with the use of this skip, more optimized movement, and faster enemy fights.
That would be because the board's default timing method is real time. Real time is used in full-game, but IGT is used for ILs, which is why no ILs appear.
Another example of this, but the opposite. IGT is the default timing method, which full-game doesn't use, so no full-game runs appear. https://www.speedrun.com/skylanders_trap_team/gamestats
I am technically a webgame runner.
My two cents: I've never heard about this game at all. It doesn't seem to be noteworthy, given the little relevance it has, therefore, it's considered trivial.
Bumping bc I don't want this thread to be covered by other threads.
Someone just tried to submit a Geometry Dash run but they just blatantly put the video from third place in the video link. Didn't even try to hide it at all. Absolutely shameless.
As we said before, you should talk to moderators of the game about this. I don't think a lot of the users in the forums have played or speedran God of War, so even with the evidence you'll claim to bring, we would be unable to do anything about it.
Also, fair.
Oh, I see. Thanks for clearing it up for me.
I mean to be fair, random users being added as mods wouldn't occur if there were no inactive mods for the game in the first place.
