The Death Skip mentioned in the tutorial works on XBLA, PSN, and PSX versions of the game. Saturn and PSP Drac X Chronicles are separate games.

enforce a rule that an FPS counter has to be onscreen (like overwolf)

Simply add a parameter for 30 FPS vs 60 FPS. This dodges the issue, but allows people to sort by one or the other without completely splitting the boards.
Also of note, you could always grandfather runs in, or store them for posterity in a locked/sticky thread.
I do not see this as an accessibility issue. Running a third party program should only be allowed when it is actually necessary to increase the reliability of game stability when that is a primary concern. SH2 PC to my knowledge has no enormous crashing issues that would need some patch to remedy them.
If the IGT is in fact affected by the 60 FPS hack, it should not be used. Imagine I ran a digitally altered copy of OoT that ran at 60 FPS. The community would lose their shit. While not on the same magnitude of change, 60 FPS PC still constitutes an actual change in what is possible compared to the base game.
tldr; ban 60 FPS if it is proven to affect IGT.
How could it be easily done? Not banning untransformed while jumping. You would have to accidentally hold jump and accidentally hit two buttons in near succession.
I'm very on the fence about swaphopping. Yes, it is basic movement tech, but the fact the game registers you in a standing state makes me iffy on this.
Shop/Checkpoint abuse seems fine to me.
So far, SDG and Bubble Warp seem universally banned. Wall Hops in.
Still in discussion: El Infierno and Swap Hops
Pretty sure the inventory always runs at 60?
I can easily agree with SDG. Swap Hop and even El Ifierno abuse are kinda hard to tell.
My argument was EI Exploit was literally released by devs as a backdoor against players accidentally skipping abilities. Maybe #3 is a glitch. 8 is "not a glitch".
He has done runs. He had not submitted. You can refer to Protongue's for ANy% and Bagel's for his 100%. FriedEel also has a 100% time floating about.
Also of note, the Warp Index is different for STCE. You could watch Bagel's runs to get an idea of the different route.
"Most" glitches are the same as from Guacamelee! Gold Edition.
Bagel Thief has posted an okay tutorial online -
It should be noted that Select Door Glitch is slightly different in execution and is not possible on current Steam patch. The DRM-free version on GOG.com should allow for it. Any other questions I can try to field.
Basically what Talic has said. Here is a compilation of currently known effective methods - .
You mention not having full upper arm mobility. Thumb Flattening and drumming method are your best known options imo.
This Discord is open to the public for both casual and speedrun related stuff. You will only have access to general chat after a 10 minute waiting time.
Once people have played with you some, you will be assigned Casual or Speedrunner role to access more features. Please be patient with the wait times involved.
Using Discord, we have already managed to help dozens of people find groups and offer advice. Have fun!
While I would like to time via first input in stage for the starting time, this is not easy to time via delays due to connectivity for co-op. Starting the stage from the menu is, once again, very clearly defined.
Why not combine IGT for levels?
This was a consideration, but since RTA could involve menuing items that you used, it seems like IGT wouldn't be in the spirit of that run. There are always ILs for that.
I suggested Gold Chest to Keyn_Naka and I think it is better for a couple reasons. First, it is when the in game timer stops, which is clear for when to time something. Second, chest open does not require loading, results does. This gives another advantage to 360.
MASH, I have wondered if this is relevant before. If people don't have the DLC, then wouldn't they still be getting crushed due to lackluster gear choices? Seems like NG would make more sense for limiting gear.
I do like the idea of character variety, Keyn_Naka. Perhaps we will add with more players!
I feel a speedrun should be focused on speed. Same characters should be allowed. I do like character variety, but to force a slower team seems wrong. Perhaps 2 different categories if enough people submit runs, but CVHD is not popular enough to keep making more categories.
