Was just curious if there was a guide for optimal special stages somewhere. I didn't see one when I went looking but I could also just slow down others runs if there's not.
Sure!
Here is a link to the Sega Retro page about the Plus GX emulator: Genesis Plus GX - Sega Retro
A link to the Genesis Plus about page that GX is based on: Genesis Plus - Sega Retro
A the link to Retroarch's Core page for Plus GX: Sega - MS/GG/MD/CD (Genesis Plus GX) - Libretro Docs
And finally a link to a clip showing off the correct audio in the Plus GX core (you can compare it to the run I submitted): Twitch Clip
I did notice a tiny graphical bug when playing on Retroarch with the flying guards on the roof, but didn't experience near the amount of audio glitches as I did with Fusion.
Ofc if you mean to post to the resources tab itself I will do that too!
Completed a run on Fusion 3.64. The emulator itself runs the game fine, but it does have some audio issues that are not present on my model 1 with Sega CD, using the repro I made a few weeks ago.
Wanted to propose allowing Retroarch with the Genesis Plus GX core due to it not affecting the way the game plays (that I've noticed) and it corrects the audio issues present in Fusion.
First run is completed. Took 1:08:11 to do on PAL. Here is the link if anyone wants to check it out:
Was curious if there would be interest from the community in creating a board for 100% Big Boss runs. I've got a route worked out, mainly based on standard 100%, most of the areas that would seemingly give trouble I have a strategy for getting through with no alerts or intentional alerts such as the armory and the 3rd floor. Mainly just throwing the idea out there.
