Yea i mean figuring out the glitch and mapping the game to implement it took longer and was arguably more fun than the 7 minute "grind" it took to finish a run. Maybe I can rework the current categories to have no major glitches and add glitched categories but that might get crowded, idrk

I was playing around with the least arrows category and doing a lil glitch hunting and found one so op it allowed me to get a 4 arrows run. It also took 34 seconds and I took my sweet time, so it could also make room for new any% records.

Now, being the only mod and not wanting to make this desicion on my own, I'd like to ask y'all if you think this should be allowed. Here's my list of pros and cons so far ;

Pros

• New strat is always cool

• May lead to other discoveries allowing us to break the game even further

• Doesn't break current rules

  Cons

• Very game breaking

• Requires restarting a run through main menu, could count as multiple runs ?

• Not exactly skill-based, may not be a very fun grind (also it's very easy)

Also no worries, you dont need to go as far as muting the mic, just maybe make game audio a bit louder ? As previously stated don’t hesitate if you need any help setting stuff up, you can reach out on discord !

iirc I had found a few glitches to help skip some arrows but I don’t quite remember, maybe I’ll give it a go sometime in the next few days

I realize I added this category and never actually ended up running it because I was moving out, maybe I’ll do one someday, if I remember my testing correctly, I think some arrows can still be saved.

I’ve been looking around for a way to make this work and since the most recent thread about this is 3 years old I thought I’d make a new one to see if there’s any news.

I’m moderating a game where you shoot arrows and teleport where they land. I started messing around with the idea of a low arrows (or least arrows ? Not sure what to name it) category and found it could be pretty fun.

As of 3 years ago there was no clean way to set this up, here are the workarounds I’ve heard of :

• Making two sub categories, one that only lists the current lowest% and a legacy category where the « obsolete » runs go.

• Straight up invalidating or marking as obsolete runs when a new lowest% is achieved (I would not like to do that)

• Adding a time penalty for every arrow shot

Did I miss something ? Is there a new cleaner way ?

Hi, just getting started here. Basically my launcher shows a black screen on launch, haven't been able to fix it yet. I use Badlion Client to play for now, but that's not allowed for speedrunning, so is there an alternative to the official launcher I'd be allowed to use ?
