Hey guys. I've added individual levels along with different difficulties.
Now I've seen the guide saying that holding your breath for the speedrun can be cancer as it's slow, but what if it's required to pull off moments that require only a couple of frames? For example, this video shows the person using slow mo as an advantage to getting the shots where they need to be to manipulate the targets, granted of course if you were going for a speedrun you won't aim directly at the head and hold off with the slow mo for such occasions. Just wondering what the discussion would be on this and finding out when the best time to use it, or if not at all.
Just to update people. I've been doing a bit more work on the blindfolded% run and managed to progress up to the spider ball. Will try and progress further over the next few weeks/months. I've also done an extensive document of any audio cues and movements that are needed in the run. Hope you enjoy!

Decided one day just to do a short blind run to the first Metroid and kill it. Very easy learning what sounds to hear out for as well as routing for it. Hope you enjoy!
(Sorry that gameplay screen is small, but I don't own anything to cover my eyes with so had to make do with this.)
Yeah, NG+ doesn't include the prologue part where you're in the nightmare as it skips straight to when Frank and Vick go to the military compound.
Would be a good idea, I contemplated running a category like this but decided against it as there's hardly much difference in the routing. A good tip if you do this category is check what weapon works best with each psychopath. I've learnt that anything yoga related like the blocks and the balls can 2 hit kill Jherii and of course the jazz hands do well against Hunter, Diego and Hilde. Dylan's flamethrower does well against Darlene as she can usual dodge your jazz hands.
If you decide to do a Deadly Sin psychopath run: Dylan, Darlene, Jherii, Albert, Kenny, Zhi and Theodore. That would eliminate having to do an S ending run.
Again a few months ago, was able to test out a full speedrun for the game bit by bit and managed to come up with some notes that could be useful when speedrunning it. Hope it helps anyone and possible gets updated in the future.

Been busy last few months but I did a document a few months back on where to get numerous abilities and items along with the stats it gives. Now most of these aren't really useful for the speed run however it's a good indication of where to find what you need.

Just the standard speed runner schedule:
- Go to the bathroom.
- Make sure I have snacks and a coffee or soft drink.
- Practice a few bits of the game to get the feel of it.
- Laptop open with a few videos/tips of new speed run tricks.
And just start grinding from there.
Ok, I've done a speed run for the game now, I set the timer from when you first shoot out of the window to when you trigger the C4 at the end of the last level. Now I'm not sure if the current WR run is set to these times or if it's different.
Speed run a game that doesn't ask a lot from you, something that has a few speed run tricks and just build from there.
Hey, just started speed running the game only today, managed to get WR pace for the first two levels, but having some issues with the third level, especially on the sea. It seems it takes forever to catch up to the Valkyrie and I'm going past stuff I never would normally see on a casual run. Is there any way to speed up this part or do I just have to cope if it does happen?
I'm Vanity_Smoke, I speed run Dead Rising 3 and hoping to move onto other zombie games and indie games in the near future. In my spare time I play games like Counter Strike and Call of Duty and watching classic movies.
Will update it as more glitches/tricks are discovered but for now here are some FAQs for DR3.
