The rules were changed in June 2024, allowing Nintendont to be used for any% speedruns that are above 1:25:00. So the older forum posts are discussing when Nintendont was still banned. Unlock Read Speed has to be set to Off.

From what I can tell in discord discussions, third party controllers are allowed as long as you dont use the turbo function.
