This game is pretty much unplayable in a competitive setting if one or both players know the secret tech. That secret being that there is relatively no recovery frames on certain characters' projectiles, and that almost all attacks have an infinitely extending hitbox which reaches above and below the sprites.
The real challenge of this run is being patient with a bit of RNG dealing with the enemy hopefully moving closer to you, and not you having to move closer to them. Past that point, it's about launching off as many attacks as you can, and being in the right spot to perform a Round-1 fatality. Performing a Round-1 fatality is a trick or a glitch, and it's also why the 100% run of this game can be shorter than the Any% or any run where you do not make it to the final boss due to not performing enough fatalities.
Hey there. I was wondering if anyone would mind about this possible rule change for when running a full-cup attempt.
Before I was made a Moderator of this game, I believe the rule was that for any failed attempts you must quit out and begin from the beginning. I asked about this rule change for Individual tracks (to save time on having to quit to the menu over and over) and another Moderator said that would be acceptable. So for individual tracks, you can just restart and do not need to quit to the track selection screen. That's very nice and cuts down on time spent in runs.
I would like to ask that the same rule be applied to the full-cup runs when you are in the first track of the race. I understand it looks nice to have the full-cup runs start from the track selection screen and show the first track being played, but having to quit out to the menu adds about 10-15 seconds of time spent just waiting for loads.
If you have any thoughts, let me know what you think of this, I will still go forward with the old rules for now until other community members chime in - or at some point I might get tired of quitting out of the cup just to have to re-enter it, and I'll change the rule myself lol.
All the best! ThatPunk_MachRider
Hi there. I'm wondering why I cannot find Mega Man 4 anywhere on this site. Am I losing it, or is there a reason there are no runs for it? Thanks in advance!
Hey there! I don't see an entry for Mega Man 4 and was wondering if there's a reason for that. Maybe I'm blind, but I don't see it anywhere :/. Thanks in advance!
Hey there! I have searched for ages but not found an existing Discord Server for Excitebike World Rally, so I made one myself!
I have included instructions on how to take the game back online for races, as well as other setup instructions for Wii and Emulation. If you're a fan of the game, consider joining the other bikers who have assembled at the starting line!
Just saying, even though this server is MINE, it's for the GAME specifically - so I don't shill my own stuff there besides WR attempts lol.

Hey yeah, funny enough Bronze Canada ended up being the toughest one to break! Off the top of my head I remember you needing the RNG to be perfect 2 laps in a row so you can hit enemies and not have to let off the gas. It's always the short races that are the most difficult. You really set some tough records for me to break my fellow biker, haha :D
Also, apologies for not noticing your message sooner. Somehow I didn't see the notification for it!
Hi Kawaii! Thank you for the response! That will save me a great amount of time now that I don't have to quit to the "Cup menu" after every failed attempt lol. :D
Hi there. Do IL runs need to start from the main menu to count, or while in an attempt can I just restart the race? The answer to this will decide if I waste time quitting to the Cup screen or not with every failed attempt!
Thank you!
