While nearing the end of his 100% TAS in June of 2023, DyllonStej had figured out that by utilizing the Pause Glitch, it will work similarly for the end of ambushes (known as the Reverse Pause Glitch) as well as ambush-activated autoscrollers (known as the Notoscroller). This version will unlock the player's or autoscroller's set camera after the ambush and can extend the outer blast zones tremendously depending on enemy and item locations, the only difference is the pause frame seems to be a couple frames before the final enemy or enemies perish. https://twitter.com/DStejGaming/status/1667056623926272002

The affected levels with Reverse Pause Glitch RTA timesave include (most links are dead, check respective IL WRs, RPGs were performed in all RTA viable levels except TBF/TLS/Ruins/Swamp RPG 2):

Some levels will always be incomparable due to positioning and global timers but the rough estimate comes out to be ~3m14s or ~3m26s on PAL and ~4m25s or ~4m37s on NTSC (~3m05s or ~3m17s on PAL and ~4m16s or ~4m28s on NTSC not counting The Lake Shore if fight Pause Glitch is achieved).

It is currently understood that the unlocked camera's path is dependent on the surrounding enemies/items which can aggro the camera meaning there are still active blast zones based on the radius from the furthest enemy/item until everything is defeated and despawned/picked up. Items currently known to influence the camera include: Super/Poison Mushroom, Hammer/Golden Hammer, Heart Container, Maxim Tomato, Stock Ball, Blast Box, and Superspicy Curry. Some levels may ignore these items (The Plain ignores all but Super/Poison Mushroom, all listed levels ignore Heart Container and Maxim Tomato).

Your earliest runs were submitted 25 days ago. If you check in recent runs the latest verified runs were submitted 25-29 days ago, so no run that has been submitted after yours has been verified, you are about next in line. Verification takes a few weeks to a month for both Odyssey boards.

He started the timer .13 early so that time is removed. RTA timer is always irrelevant as classic ILs are based on IGT anyway.

USB Loader stated in the rules for any EMU subcategory (as well as any game mode that provides an in-game timer) is allowed, it had been like this since July 2021 from a stickied post at the top of our forum page (https://www.speedrun.com/ssbb/thread/dw4cs). Regarding 100%, there hasn't been any interest to add an EMU category for 100%, but I could implement it in hopes there will be more. Please submit under 100% EMU with video proof.

While in the midst of continuing his 100% TAS in February of 2023, DyllonStej had found 2 methods to skip most of the large rock autoscroller that blocks off a 100% door for both entering the door earlier https://twitter.com/DStejGaming/status/1624965333155979264 and falling down to progress in the stage earlier as well. https://twitter.com/DStejGaming/status/1624978378590720000 While the wall bonk method for entering the door earlier is impossible on Easy, it is possible on higher difficulties due to the rock's increased gradual speed. However, the second clip of falling down to progress in the stage earlier is possible on Easy with 9 frames of leeway by jumping to ceiling bonk into the rock. This saves 10 seconds for 100%, along with another ~5-8 seconds with the first clip on higher difficulties.

The conversation from the discord server is still ongoing after you left. I would of liked to add a No DLC/DLC subcategory for NG Any%/100% but we can't add subcategories to subcategories (having No DLC/DLC run through all of WoL wouldn't make sense) so I think it would be best to remove the NG DLC runs, according to Riparo its just 3 runners other than his own NG runs that would be affected. I was never made aware of this issue by any runner before.

With the announcement of 5.0 releasing, I figured this leaderboard should be tidied up for the occasion.

I have included 1st/2nd/3rd place trophies and a logo that matches the theme (best I could do). Instead of having one character variable run through the entire leaderboard, I took the time to create multiple and apply them to the categories that include static character selection. Difficulties that are not Easy are now set to misc (due to no runs, could change in the future). Added All Events, no clue why it wasn't a thing before. I will add the new characters to the variables once 5.0 is released.

Hopefully 5.0 encourages previous runners to come back to this game as well as new runners that come in from the hype for this brand new version.

This camera skew glitch was first mentioned by SukeSJ when they and xNirox were performing a Co-op run in September of 2022. It shows the position of Player 1 in a more leftward set position than usual, or the camera had been skewed to a different dimension of the screen. This was achieved by Player 1 entering the Meta Ridley door of The Great Maze while Player 2 enters the minecart (the minecart from Bowser to Dedede works as well). The consequence of attaining this glitch is that it will remain until you either enter a minecart or barrel cannon as Player 1, close the game, or reset the console. This would only work in a new game/no post game setting as I believe you are suggesting (since not every moon will be accessible upon post game), but if I'm not mistaken, a lot of it is already in routes for All Moons & 100% (I'm not fluent in any routes I just assume that they already get majority moons upon first visit and leave more convenient ones for post game). Also, no, this will not be added, forum threads will not net anyone a guarantee in a suggestion being added (especially when you don't even have a run to show). Specs are irrelevant, rather the quality of recording and gameplay on Dolphin. Nothing will be rejected unless noticeably pixelated or cuts in the gameplay are present.

The simple b-reverse is doable but the fastfall seems to be frame perfect, if you're having trouble its release right then B then flick the stick from neutral to left (down-left for fastfall if humanly possible). The fastfall input might have to come before the b-reverse and so this would be a 2-frame trick which is humanly impossible (slower works just can't be completely optimized), likely why they did not do it in RTA (or it is and this is just prior to having the knowledge since it was from 2008).

While definitely challenging, honestly it sounds completely unappealing as it removes the main mechanic and attraction that the game has. I can't see this being something others are interested in, barely anyone submits runs these days.

By going in and out of the first person camera option in quick succession; Up then Down on D-pad for Wiimote or Up then Down on Right-stick for Joy-Con/Pro-Con. I think I've heard Up on D-pad/Right-stick then A works but obviously wouldn't recommend.

The game has in-game leaderboards for boss kill, just like I said... RTA would just be adding in load time which makes no sense. Your best times are tracked within the game.

If you read the rules you can see that the 2020 Delves update basically makes the individual Shadow Tower boss runs irrelevant to track on this board since they are now just the bosses. The game already implements in-game leaderboards that track boss times. There's no compromise for this sadly.

You could look at the comments about boot2, I personally don't know since I installed everything without issues from these videos.
