Macros are basically computer programs that simulated keystrokes.
You would give it a script to read, such as the button sequence for the lab codes, then when you run the macro it repeats those keystrokes. Because a macro can perform the keystrokes faster than a human could, it's a way you could save time on some puzzles in RE2 (electronic box, lab codes) but for obvious reasons is not permitted.
What can I say besides that I delight in the delicious Irony of the situation?
Internet shitlord TTT here
Gentle reminder that this guy whining about a legit strategy was caught using actual Macros in his previous runs, and is an ACTUAL cheater.
I agree that verifying runs in the order they come in is probably a good idea, a la "first come, first served" but getting this worked up over it is a bit much. They're not reviewing mortgage applications here, it's going fast in a videogame.
Was the pause rule put in just so hazeblades tweet about "the vast majority" of runs being ineligible for submission wasnt proven to be bullshit? Cos that's pretty dumb.
I've seen someone using this cheat and it is LAUGHABLY obvious. The only way this would fly under the radar is if you had the chance set so low you might as well not be using it at all.
