I don't run this game, nor do I have any plans too but I'm just curious why runs need to be on Youtube in order to be accepted

Youtube is definitely the quickest and most convenient for moderators but forcing people to upload to a certain platform is quite frankly, stupid. Especially in countries where Youtube is not mainstream or even outright banned/blocked.

Now, I'm not too knowledgeable about DS EMUs, but, I know for older hand-held console EMUs as long as you have the correct files installed it should be almost if not completely identical to original hardware in the vast majority of cases. Obviously it can vary a bit from game to game but for the most part thats the general rule.

Kill the Tripod is a category where you traverse through the hospital in the most unusual way only to eventually meet with the tripod, who you respectfully have to defeat. That is the goal of Kill the Tripod. Unfortunately, this path we take makes you unable to do it in the Any% speedrun (SAD) which is why it has its own category. Does that mean Isaac is trapped in these few rooms for the rest of time? We may never know. Some people may consider this a blessing, others, a curse

This category is something that’ll be passed down to generations, grandkids and all Homo sapiens. Everyone will know what Kill the Tripod is and bless it with their heart they still have that isn’t clouded in darkness and evil.

Kill the Tripod is something that’ll live and stay forever in the Dead Space 2 Speedrunning Community, as it’s considered one of the best categories besides No OoB and Zealot Any%.

No-one could’ve guessed that Radish would’ve gotten a sub 5 minute Kill the Tripod time, a godlike run with perfect "Vent% Lines" and an insane skip. No one ever wants to do Kill the Tripod as it’s seen as a hard category to do, and you aren’t wrong. Kill the Tripod is filled with precision and movement in mind. This is the best category to start out as a casual as it has a mix between of skill and precision, no doubt about it.

I think there is a miscommunication here because of the language difference. You are allowed to do the door glitches. However, they are supposed to be impossible to preform on the console versions of the game. We're just curious why some people can do them, and other people can not.

Any% simply means complete the game with any percentage of completion. In simpler terms, it means just to reach the end of the game with no restrictions on what needs to be completed, you just need to reach the end as fast as you can.

@bonegures That's weird, I had no idea about this run. I find it strange only some people can do the glitch on consoles and others can't. It would be good if we could figure out why that is happening.

I don't own the game on PS4 or Xbox so I can't test those myself, I can confirm it does not work on the Switch version at least not for me.

It would be super awesome if you guys could join our Discord server if you aren't in it already, communicating in these forums isn't very convenient and this is where most of the main communication about Outlast speedrunning happens.^^

English: The reason for the denial says that you used doorclips on the console version of the game, as far as we know, this shouldn't be possible on console and no one else has been able to do it except you.

The denial reason also says you should message the moderator who denied the speedrun if you can explain how you did it <3
