Hi everyone,

My name is Jeremiah O'Neal. Either this month or next month, I plan to speedrun Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past. This is one of my most favorite games to play and it's also a game that I've practiced speedrunning before.

I also want to talk a little bit about myself. One of the things that I like about this community is how accepting it is to different people.

I am a disabled person, however, I like to think that my disability is a gift, not a curse. Unfortunately, at least during my time when I was growing up, it was anything but a gift. People with disabilities like myself were less likely to complete school, less likely to take on higher skilled work and less likely to get into higher paying positions. This unfortunately will create a domino effect through out their entire life.

Now, don't get me wrong, there are successful people with disabilities, however, that is the minority. Most people with disabilities do not get ahead of their non-disabled peers. A lot of disabled people like myself were left blind to the harsh realities as to what was going to be expected.

However, unlike my disabled peers, I had support from my family, friends and teachers who helped me to get ahead. And so, to pay it back, I've written a book which is currently on Amazon called 'Sufficiently Educated: From struggling to a college degree'. In my book, I write about all of the details of my life from when I was first diagnosed in elementary school to when I graduated college. If you are interested in knowing what my life was like growing up with a disability during the 80s then check out this book.
