Thanks, though tbf Yhabby also managed to hold the WR in every category before Wipe out France was introduced, so one could argue we got back to back Matt Turks.

For the cannon ai it looks like it depends on type of ship from what I've seen. Raiders and NPs shoot from afar generally.

I agree hence the bit in the title with the different time (although off by a couple of seconds). However the point of getting the last city would be to finish off wealth if necessary even if the rules don't change

Probably is the same glitch I found that allows you to break out of the clash allowing you to attack as they clash with nothing.

The underestimation comes from mainly me not counting the frames at the beginning spent still on the screen just before time starts, and considering that milliseconds aren't on the leaderboard I'm not to concerned with being accurate, unless that 2 frames would've gotten me WR.

Yeah I'm thinking that the future of this run comes from getting Cotton Sails at Marcaibo or a pirate haven then moving to where the hideout is and hoping that a pirate haven spawns with Triple hammocks to get 3 units instead of the 2 you get with 60, along with better RNG obviously.

I kind of at least know the Captain RNG is a 1/5 chance going into the tavern for the first time, which resets for what seems like being sufficiently out on sea for long enough given a far enough distance? Plus there's also fight RNG with if they get a rapier or not and if they do, do they thrust at all or not, if the person with a longsword thrusts his first move, if you pick up any of the objects causing a larger wind up thus easier for the AI to counter, if your character gets dizzy after a swing preventing you from attacking from the other side causing the hit to connect since they are dodging the first attack.

Yeah, it's something that needs to be looked into more, but even looking at this run I saved roughly 8 seconds in Dance 1, and the song lengths in the files themselves there is a significant time difference with the shortest song seeming to be 1:15 instead of the usual 1:45, although the 1:15 song I have not heard at all doing this run which also brings up the point of the difficulty affecting the songs themselves, which is a thing, higher difficulties grant you access to a song at 1:28 but another at 2:05, and the 1:15 might be a lower difficulty song which I may have to investigate to see.

Response is twofold really. A: Having 60 soldiers in the first town gives you improved odds for enough money for both cotton sails and the ring, as you roughly need 1800 gold out of all 3 fights which I only really got from selling items, inducing a time loss, so entering the tavern for the soldiers does help, it's just a matter of muscle memory doing it for me or not. B: In Grand Bahama usually the soldiers drop by 20 once february comes around, so you actually want 60 initially, for it then to drop to 40 so that you can take it, or during the fight when it has 40 for you to drop below 40 so you can skip the screen where it asks you which governer you want so that you can get the 3rd fight faster.

And I can't wait for it to get sub 6 in this category, cutting out the time spent selling the supplies for cotton sails, same wind and cloud luck, better luck on the ring and Mendoza. with roughly same if not better songs for the dances there is still a lot of time to save in the run, so if we wanted to TAS it, it wouldn't surprise me if the perfect time was sub 5.

If you flank with a pirate, you can click on them again after a couple of seconds, that's literally all I know, probably a bug of the game considering if you click on them too fast it does not work.

Often times I am able to see it, occasionally I won't be able to see/process it thus reload on an actual good spawn, or I wait a bit to see if I can see Raymondo because I recognize or think I recognized certain letters that could mean it spawned in a good place. This whole thing is the reason why I state that 'That's Maracibo' because I'm telling myself to process that Marquis spawned a good spot to stop reloading.

On reloading saves, I just try to save as close as possible to the Jesuit missionary so that I have less travel time, often times you can save within it if you exit and go back in again since it won't let you in, also helps if you hold down forward when reloading in reference to finding Marquis. Also, I've been manually splitting the times hence the lag, also thought time ends when the cutscene starts, not at the final hit.

It'd also be apt to clarify if we mean apprentice or journeyman by easiest since apprentice limits you a decent amount and is a whole lot more hand holdy.
