Thanks a bunch but I wanna know the correct settings cuz ik it runs faster than a normal DS

I have always wanted to do a speedrun but I really dont have a reliable cheap way to capture my DS screen and I now have practised quite a lot on Desmume. I wanna know if its okay to use Desmume for an official speedrun and if I can what are the settings supposed to be for the run to be valid.
