For those who plan on running the upcoming DLC "Ghost Survivors", we will not be accepting runs for the DLC for a few days to ensure that the rules and any other kinks that maybe discovered are ironed out. We will keep you posted on when runs will be accepted for the DLC through this forum so make sure that you keep an eye out.

Although I am not for the gun in the runs but I shouldnt have spouted at like that regardless to everyone. I apologize immensely for it and it should have been discussed further of it once the situation came up. Wish everyone happy wishes in their runs.

Furthermore,I put @crazygamingdayz Claire run back into the process of being verified until the rules are done. The Leon one's will still be rejected due to the Croc.

Making this post for peeps to post suggestions for other categories on this board and keep it in all one area. At the moment, people have brought up these extra Categories:

-Handgun only -Shotgun/grenade launcher only -No Knife

Post what other ones you would like to see and the mods will discuss from there

I play on Pro...I main console...I have gotten the forward animation to work easily whenever I play honestly. It is what I do for the most for stair skating. I also do fine with knife with no handgun in terms of movement.

Most of this community has been picky with a lot of things from the get go and if you guys dont like it. That is fine, I understand completely but those are the rules for the boards that the mods decided; however, I understand Crazy for being vexed at the situation. It is understandable and I do immensely apologize for it.

This is also true. It is mentioned there but I wanted to make the gun in inventory more clear at the very least

I understand what both of you are trying to get at in terms of movement with the gun but still a bit silly to have a gun mostly out for a knife only run as well lol

"can toss a grenade"...Because most of us assumed that for knife only everyone would put a guns away since that is what most people do..for knife only runs. There is a grenade next to the Croc so you can blow up the canister so I put grenade in the rules. Low% just for Leon's campaign due to Croc and Tyrant I am aware so we called it Low% mainly for Leon. I brought up the gun to canister with the mods and again, they said you shouldnt even have the gun on you for knife run..said there is a grenade there for you to use on the Croc.

I understand your concern on this issue and I am sorry that it honestly a waste of time due to an over site on my part when I was typing the rules. Not gonna remember every little thing when typing the rules. But most people dont have the gun equipped during the entire run for a "knife only" run in those games. When the main reason for the gun is stair skating...yet there are other ways to stair skate in the game in a knife run? But most mods agree that that a gun should not be there during a knife only run

It is all one go... so if you fail the 2nd run then you gotta start from the first scenario

What knife only run allows you to keep a gun in the inventory? You can also do the stair skating by pressing forward as well which is faster thn aiming anyway. Cause it is the first run to have the issue brought up to everyone's attention. In Nix's runs he puts the gun away immediately which is what I figured most would do. We have had situations where in runs where something that hasnt happened before or something within the rules that needs to be stated or voted on. It is normal for things like this to happen. None of us mean no offense to Crazy or his run but it is something that all of us are not for since it is not needed in the run what so ever.

"Smart" mod. Ohhh~no need to be smug but you can stair skate with the knife and there is another way to Stair skate as well. No need for the gun at all. Furthermore, it was agreed by majority of the mods that no weapon should be in the inventory when it is knife only. I put "as of 11 Feb" because I did not have it in the rules (nor did I think about it) when I originally wrote them. This was only brought up when Crazy submitted his run today.

I think No knife would be interesting to put to see what people can come up with

Only defense item you will be able to use is knife so be careful with whatcha do lol. Good luck on the runs there guys

Other cats will be added in time so lease sure what you guys may want as a category and all of us can go from there. :) Handgun only is quite doable but we will focus on other things atm before adding more to the board

For those who are looking to do the Knife/Low % only run and wish to submit them..the Category Extension is now up with rules etc so PLEASE look at them before you start running or even submitting your runs please.

We also have a "True Ending" category where you play the 1st and 2nd scenario of the characters in one go.

We will add more as time goes on but for now enjoy those two extensions :)

Knife only will be added for sure for the Cat Extensions but not 100% sure if defense items would be allowed or some etc..cause I know Flash would be ok but grenades might be a bit different story..the fact of Leon also being unable to do knife only due to Croc and Super Tyrant is another thing so it would probably be called low% when we do it.

The clip thing or even how YT process things is hella odd cause I also record through PS4 and I have seen some weird stuff and skips even using the "save clip" feature alone

It is a known thing for a lot of capcom games...RE6 and Rev 2 uses this for a lot of stuff to skip animations etc. Very helpful for people to know!

It is not? Are you blind or new to speedrunning? LMAO. RE7, RE 3 and other games have had MANY discussions on the rules before and after stuff. People just want to get there way on stuff just like with RE7 and RE3 etc. This board is legit as bad as RE3 and is hella good for a laugh with how some people can be. I dont think any of you guys realize that what so ever.

And yes, MANY Pc games are Pay2Win in terms of FPS etc like RE1 Remaster, RE0 etc. Pessi is not doing those games cause, guess what, his PC cant keep 120 FPS constantly and lost several WRs for both games for pc cause of it. There are other example of that as well.

Congrats, you chose what you want to run and enjoy doing it. Simple as that. We are keeping the game as fair as possible cause not everyone can run it at 120 and not everyone can run at 60 however...it isnt honestly worth even making a sub cat for FPS in my personal opinion simple as that. We are right, we make the rules and you decide whether or not to follow them or do your own thing. Simple as that.

Now, for the love of god, STOP WITH THE FPS THREADS NOW since it seems to always lend to people bitching (the same few) about it with most people fine with the boards.

Because this has been discussed MULTIPLE TIMES through MULTIPLE threads. If things change they will change. At this moment, the board is fine where it is at this time. PC will be pay2win and always will be..if you wanna be top then get to upgrading. A lot of games are like this like RE7 etc.. If it changes then so be it but for now it stays 60-120 on one board.
