• The 4th edition of the Basement Cup will be held this year, 2025.

• There, you will be assigned a competitor role and will be able to participate in the qualifying round, in addition to having access to the entire Discord server.
• The leaderboard will be updated with the competitors' best times during the qualifying weeks.
• All participants will have to complete a qualifying round to qualify for a spot in the tournament.
• Participants must submit their best time during the qualifying period, which runs from August 10th to August 30th, 2025.
• Participants can submit their times without any limit during the qualifying period.
• The tournament leaderboard will be published and updated on Speedrun.com - Resident Evil 3: Nemesis - Category Extensions.
• The top 16 times in the standings will qualify for the "Elite A" tournament.
• While those in 17th to 32nd place will qualify for the "Elite B" tournament.
• A total of 32 participants will qualify, divided into two groups of 16. The remaining participants will be eliminated.
• Once the qualifying process is complete, the tournament's matches will be determined by their ranking in the standings.
• Example: The top 1 in "Elite A" will face the top 16 in the standings. And in "Elite B," the top 17 will face the top 32 in the standings.
• Each matchup will be in rounds of 3. In each matchup, each participant must win two matches to advance to the next round.
• The "Elite B" tournament will begin on September 10th, and once it concludes, The "Elite A" tournament will begin next week.
• This year's tournament will not be played in a single day, but will be extended to accommodate participants with different time zones and avoid inconveniences.
• The three tournament finalists will receive a prize pool, which will be collected throughout the duration of the tournament.
• Every donation made will go toward the tournament prize pool. If you're interested in contributing, you'll find a donation link on the tournament's Twitch channel and official Discord.
• Basement Cup 2025 Rules
• Original mode - Heavy Mode Any%
• The "Basement Cup 2025" logo should be visibile on the VOD. It can be found in the Discord Server.
• GLTool is allowed.
• It is allowed to use vanilla or rebirth patch (Chinese - Taiwanese - Japanese version only)
• The VOD must have the sound of the game, without external music. Using microphone is allowed.
• Inputs, SRT and Livesplit must be displayed on the screen.
• Jill and Carlos skins are allowed.
• Runs must be streamed on Twitch, Youtube or Kick. (Offline runs are not allowed)
• Turbo-Macro are banned from the Tournament.

This year we are going to celebrate another edition of the basement cup, this time we want it to include more runners.

$1000 price pool distributed among the first 3 players, but if more runners than estimated join the tournament, the price pool might be higher and divided between the top 5 times.

The tournament will be held on September 28th and the qualifiers for the tournament will start in August from 16/8 to 30/8.

• Basement Cup 2023 Rules •

• The competitors will classify according to the order of the leaderboard from the date 8/16/23 at 00:00 UTC+0 to 8/30/23 at 22:00 UTC+0. Once the qualifying is over, the 16 best times will qualify for the basement cup on September 28.

• The final order of the qualifying leaderboard will dictate the placements on the tournament (best time, will go against the worst, etc.)

• In order for a run to qualify, it must have the #basementcup on the Stream and VOD

• The runs have to be posted in the discord channel for verification.

• The qualifiers will close on 30/8/23 at 22:00 UTC + 0

• Runs posted before 16/8/23 or after 30/8/23 at 22:00 UTC+0 will not be taken into account.

• GLTool is allowed.
