I purpose we change the leaderboards and update and modernize them.

Purposed change Full Game Categories: Arcade/Time Attack/Edge Master/Team Battle Variable: Arcade [1R and 2R] Levels Leaderboards for each character and categories being Arcade (Default settings) and Edge Master.

Why? To make it more simpler and make it easier to navigate than using 10 variables for Arcade and Edge Master full game. Which only Arcade would have a variable of 1R and 2R. No runs would be lost and remain preserved just all character sub category runs merged into one for 2R and log all fastest times ever submitted for Arcade. Character runs for Arcade would be copied over onto level leaderboards.

Level leaderboards would allow for people to compete with their favorite characters in case one is the fastest for Arcade or Edge Master and they are not skilled with them.

So in summary full game Arcade and Edge Master categories would serve as logging the fastest times for any character and for a singular leaderboard of them all. Whereas level leaderboards would serve as a means to have the characters runs to be submitted without being under one leaderboard merged. That way one can see the fastest times for each character in individual leaderboards. Please I encourage everyone to really think about this I think this could greatly improve the leaderboards.

Emulators are fine and I think we need someone to find out which one emulates the best and most accurately. Until then I think any should be good.

I would say the character is fine, but weapons found or obtained in Edge Master should not be used for Arcade runs. Or if anything there be an Extra Arcade category with weapons obtained being allowed like Soul Edge for Cervantes.

Well that was what the community had chosen and wanted at the start of SoulCalibur.

Ended up saying just do 1R and 2R where 1R is any settings and 2R is the default settings only and remains the default sub category. If anyone has names for these two then suggest some.

Also added Time Attack and Team Battle like SoulCalibur.

Added arcade console because Soul Edge is technically Soul Blade.

The console PS2 does work for all of them and I just submitted runs with PS2. If you want PSX added you need to bring that up on the forums or request support here and say you want PSX added as a console option. Right now it doesn't exist. https://www.speedrun.com/knowledgebase/supporthub/other

Yes I want to say that we remove the default settings for runs as it's such a really dumb outdated way of doing things. The whole point of a speedrun is to go as fast as possible. Forcing people to play on normal or default settings is not fast.

What we could do is what Soulcalibur does and do Arcade 1, 2, and 3 rounds that way the runs already done with 2 rounds can go under 2 rounds.

Additionally I believe the page really needs to be updated as I suggested full game be the same of Arcade and Edge Master, but with sub category for Arcade having 1, 2, and 3 rounds. And instead of characters for the variables of the full game categories. Do like what I have done with the other Soul games. Have the IL leaderboards be of each character with the main categories for ILs be Arcade and Edge Master.

I did that for the games because people could compete with their favorite characters in the level leaderboards should their character not be the fastest.

This new SR is ass my complaint is a game series doesn't have a series mod which it does need one like games need mods. And what did they say to the support request, "The game doesn't need a series mod". Okay then games don't need mods then. Additionally when I tried before their reason before was because it wasn't active with runners. So it's a popularity contest and games or series not popular gets unmanaged huh? This is the kind of crap that is why we need an SR alternative. No wonder the person who was series mod for the game left the game and removed their runs.

I don't understand why it's either all or nothing with the variables. Surely it could be done to have a variable only be for level leaderboard categories or full game categories. Why is it all categories for both or nothing? That just seems ridiculous and a design flaw.

Emu is hidden by default to fix this faster loads.

Yeah I changed the rules from the person from before so default.

Will work on that split for All Cog Tags% but you have to do a run for Insane% first. Then I'll make the category, don't want to make it and no one does it.

Can the game page https://www.speedrun.com/n3_pal be deleted as I thought there was a difference in versions but there isn't.

It just looks ugly to have three variables at most it should be two. I prefer how the boards are now separate.

Will you do Xbox Series X runs Deathtome and can that console be added to the game?

I got modded too, but I don't mind I'd help out.

Because it would look ugly to have JPAL and HD under along with the other variables. The games have been discovered to indeed be different enough for their own page.
