I'm all for light mode on the main board. Makes sense as it's a part of the difficulty select at the main menu. Pretty much any easy IMO.

I tried this patch out the other week and really enjoyed it. Just felt like a more stable version of the game, other than that just some cool quality of life bonus things. Was able to run the game in window without any lag. I usually have to run the game in full screen for smoothest experience but that is now a thing of the past with this patch.

I personally see no reason to completely separate the games into 2 different leaderboards. It makes sense to me to just split HD and SD on the same board like other RE boards. Just my 2 cents.

Although I do understand that one of the biggest reasons for a board to not have too many categories is to prevent the competition from spreading thin, I still feel that it will breathe life into the speedrun.

I do have a time on the board, but don't consider myself an active runner of this game. With that said, my opinion probably doesn't have as much weight, but when I first took a look at the board, I was surprised that console and emulator were grouped together.

I've seen this same sort of set up with silent hill boards as well and have always thought that the filtering system, although it exists and serves a purpose, it doesn't create much incentive to run a specific setup as people tend to only look at the boards face value.

I have known Mogul for some time and have developed a friendship with him. All biases aside, I think he would be a good fit as a moderator of this board due to his intellect and passion to getting things done right, thorough and to the point. Plus he has an intense passion for CVX and genuinely want this game to grow.

I don't even run this game but have seen countless runs from people who do. From a general speedrunners perspective, I think this is great and healthy for the RE3R community as it seems to be bringing a lot of people joy in running it again. It would be nice to eventually see something that works for console runners as they always seem to get the short end of the stick. Even though I can't vote officially, my vote would be yes.

Hi all. I plan to run the PC version of this game soon and will be using the new rebirth patch. This might be a dumb question but would like to be sure as it's not in the rules. Can we tab out of this game during a run? Especially during the cutscenes as they are long and plenty of them? Would it be valid with ignore focus at least if not? I know the sound cuts out when tabbed out on that setting but just want to check! Thanks!

Thanks for responding. The in game time was shown after the credits. The disc error occurred just before the mushroom cloud scene.

Hello all. I just completed my first legit run of RE3 on GameCube and even recorded it. However, after the ending cutscene and right before the radio guy and the mushroom cloud picture, my disc stopped spinning and the error message "GameCube disc could not be read" came on screen. I'm popped the lid, cleaned the disc, out it back in and closed the lid. Seconds later the mushroom cloud picture came up with the radio guy voice, then went to credits and my IGT showed on screen. The question I want to ask is will this void my run? That would really be a shame that I would have to worry about such a thing. It happens very rarely and the first time ever with this game after playing it for weeks lol. Just my luck even more bad RNG. I would appreciate it if anyone can answer :)
