Yeah sorry about that, I didn't realize none of the categories actually had "rules" in there lol.
However as a kid, I def used turbo lol, in blaster master too. Of course in some rpgs, and other outlier games turbo is allowed. This one like most nes games is def not one of them.
Turbo in general is banned for almost any system that doesn't have turbo functionality in its base controller (so basically all of them). And other than the beginning of the game there really isn't much mashing (well and first boss in nkg). During a farming session turbo is a good way to screw up a key farm by killing a slime at the wrong time.
Basically just start the key glitch as low as possible. So go from a low position and spam press as you walk up. Or figure out that spot in general. I do the former
But in the end it all depends on which method you can use to get consistent skips. I am very used to doing my method using a pause. But that's also because I am bad at tracking the shots when it's that close to the wall. If you are able 2 Follow the shots and react at the right time in order to get that glitch to happen go for it. I just couldn't get that method consistent. But I'm pretty sure that is the way white hat did it and obviously he has the top time at the moment. Both methods take about the same time to do with one you lose a slight bit of time for a pause and the other you have to wait sometimes for the shots to be in the correct position. Sometimes the pause will be faster other times you'll get perfect RNG and save that probably less than half of a second.
Ok, pausing does this. When you pause after the boss stops moving and starts to get ready to shoot, when you unpause the shot is forced to come out. So if you jump at the same basic point, and pause at the same point you have a much higher (if not guaranteed) chance to get the glitch. If you jump at the wrong tile it is fine, you just have to pause earlier or later. And the reason the glitch works is because there is a hole in the wall at the bottom of the screen. If you get hit too early you don't get knocked into the hole properly.
Yeah when you have a game that requires a certain version Emulators (especially on nes) are always fine. If you are going for wr i'd say try and get a JP version and use a converter or find the PR0 initial US release one. But otherwise even then it's not super needed. I just like setting good pbs on the hardware when possible.
Just so there isn't a ton of empty categories just yell at me to make a new one for the difficulties not up if you do one. I'll... hopefully do some of each?
I tried a bunch and the ones that responded all had A's but I didn't realllllly try that hard. Got a working converter and a jp cart so i'm good to go... eventually.
Nice job though WhiteHat, how hard did you need to look?
That being said though there is definitely a breakpoint where not farming more enemies would cause the boss to go slower to a point, on the other hand where if you farm more enemies the farm will lose you time both as a result due to damage breakpoints. It's about every 8 tone basically gives you a power up. So if you are farming and you end up getting a lot of health enough to hit 6 7 full bars of Health without doing a health refill spell you could try fighting the boss before you hit 9health beads. But I would suggest going somewhere in the 8 because at that point the Rng was so bad that might as well go for it.
I dont really do it based off of tone more on the life side. The attacks ligar do hit for 3 damage. With 9 beads of health you take 4 hits before you die since you can live at "0" health filled. So with good rng, and good dodging you can win. To start with though getting to w/e tone 10 health beads gives ya gives you a pretty good chance to kill. Course drop rng is the ultimate factor in the end. You def want that attack and assaip.
I had to manually add his festerquest stuff etc. Pretty sure he doesnt, low g man wad manually added too.
Also invem sophia is hard lol
Hmm I mean its not an awful idea. If you open up your menu to change weapons mid fight its not like it pauses the timer. If all we really care about is killing bosses fast that would be an option to just use in game timer. It does have even miliseconds. Basically do we care enough about farming in between bosses and creating a route to get to each boss quickly. You have to beat a boss (or lose to one) in order to regen blocks. Its up to everyone. Although its still prob nice to have a video so people can actually see how the bosses are being killed. It'd kinda be weird to have a top time as just a screenshot and have no idea how you can improve your run to beat it.
Saw that this got thrown up just linking one of the runs I know of it.
Yeah I assumed as much, Only thing that would work I suppose would be a list of all pending games, but that could be trolled as well. Putting up random game titles w/e. Well and have one more thing for people to complain about (I saw so and so up on this list for 2 weeks now why isn't it up!!!!) etc.
Is there any way to like "follow" a game page before it is made? Like you know a game page is in process but you didn't set it up. Any other way of tracking its progress other than just asking the dude who set it up?
