I know I'm a bit late, hadn't received a notification that there was any response to the thread, but I'd imagine anything that can be replayable should be in the ILs and if need be we can have two categories, Hotlap and Finish Time
To give a very short answer to why we didn't "address" Random0ne, it's because he came to the Discord and we've spoken to him there. You yourself can also do that which would make conversing with the GENERAL Need for Speedruns community easier, rather than relying on forum posts.

A shortcut being used in speedrunning is not cheating. It is making use of something available in the game. It is not against the rules and never should be. This is SPEEDRUNNING, not your typical time attack leaderboard. There is usually the case of glitches vs. no glitches but this is pretty much just abusing the way the level is designed as well as the checkpoint system. This does not damage the integrity of speedrunning, this is in the true spirit and nature of speedrunning. The decision to ban wallriding is more of a decision that impacts the integrity of this board, but that one is in place for the sake of "fun".

No, we meant the loading screen AFTER the race.
I don't believe hacked/cheated speedruns should be tracked as it pretty much takes away all of the challenge.
