Text has no impact on speed of cutscenes in non remastered GTA versions. I tested it few years ago w the default eu languages.
jizzy [dupe] note: so you can get katie to spawn w you sometimes so might as well kill her if you can, although im not sure whether or not "date is over" would be enough (which would require to only shoot her few times and not kill her, she has helluva hp). and need to look into whether or not you can spawn katie consistently because ive tried yesterday few times and couldnt do it (w diff time skipping cutscenes).

After some tests looks like you can consistently get her to spawn in the garage if you walk into the date cutscene WHILE she is exiting the car. Example:
Also, OUR BOY, PaTrIcK said that getting "date is over" is enough, which means that you can either punch her 3 times, or shoot her w something like a pistol or smg once and it should be enough.
Backing lelresetfeg on the flying situation. Reminder that he tried to submit AT LEAST 2 "TAS'd" runs, intentionally, and EVEN HID A SPLICE ("dream frame" stuff, and there could be more that people just didn't bother to search for). People may say that english is not his 1st language or whatever, but if you ever watch his stream for more than 5 minutes you can hear that he has more than basic understanding of english and he knew exactly what he was doing submitting those runs. How his later runs were accepted just because he streamed is a big question mark. He should've been at least temporary suspended from submitting runs on the lb.

It's not hard to have more than 1 install of the game on a PC. I would be surprised that speedrunners that run this game seriously don't have more than 1 install instance of the game on PC.
Mouse scrolling.
Besides the sound stuff which is still a bit questionable - never "fast scrolling", even randomly, throughout all of his attempts - the fact that he "rebinds" in mouse software and not ingame is a huge question mark.
You don't need dxwnd for windowed mode for this game.
Whats the deal w 1 person being able to str8 up remove a co-op run for all the players wout other people even knowing?
In my case it was 1 person out of 3, but imagine if it's an 8p run and 1/8 of those people just randomly decides to delete the run wout other 7 people's knowledge.

Yea backing you on this one. I used to be 50/50 on the issue but I think this put me over the edge. Didn't someone make some program to avoid those cheats few months ago. I don't see a reason not to allow that one, either.
If nothing else leave it for continuity sake. III and VC have these categories as well.
- GTASA "AM" is different from 3 and VC AM.
- Just because something is done on the other lbs doesn't mean that it should be done here. Additionally, 3 and VC AM categories are more popular than SA's ever has.
I first began running asm as a means to practice 100% missions in a serious run environment.
If you can't do serious segment practice and need some category that vaguely resembles 100% of which you only finished 2 runs ever over 1+ year then you should question yourself to the dedication of the main 100% category.
Ok here is what everyone's been waiting for.
DP start note (wout heli): Need to adjust for it, -1 mb -2.
Misap note: bike - stunt plane < bike - bike < bike - heli
Alt lv end route note (fiab, 2xmisap, 2xbp, md, smb): ~20s slower than the current route.
Duped VM then Duped LTF (-Stowaway, str8 to FK start) note: ~1m05s slower.
Alt LV Route (2x VM, 2x LTF, 2x BP, then norm LV for the most part) note: I did not finish the comparison for the whole alt route but from what I already have its more than 1m slower, probably end is going to be close to 2m slower.
There is like 1 person that is interested in no dupes at a given time, then when they lose interest nobody runs it for months, sometimes even years. Similar to "All Story Missions" thats currently on the lb.
Your examples of already misc'd categories are pretty stretched.
Highjack note: it seems like if you lose any momentum on @thriving 's airport jump route you better don't do it because you'll fall into the water.
shoutout to @thriving for grinding for few hours to get a world's first 6-shot out of the "more consistent strat".
Yes there is definitely something going on here. Compare that to (during HC or EOTL). Completely different aim.
