I just leave it blank and it automatically does it.
If u beat boardroom then immediately skip all cutscenes and credits thats when it happened to me, always showed 98% on the save file.
Also, weve decided to just use pokemon IG timing. So we dont need to add up Individual levels every time. Just hours an minutes. In ranking IGT comes first, then real time.
Quick note: Sam, hope u read this. U should remove 100% from monsaic lines, paramonia, scrabania, Freefirezone and Alfs escape, as any% and 100% are the same thing.
Seems IL's are a thing. Guess id better start recording.
Yeah, that happens.
Ive found that in a single segment run, if you watch the final cutscene it doesnt happen (or at least hasnt happened to me since).
My 2:14 times wasnt close to being worthy of praise. Id say this ones worth enough to have the world record label. But I can get it so much lower.
Nice find. If It is consistent we should do it. Itll save a lot of time in some places, probably more so in 100%.
A friend of mine who was playing casually got a glitch in the 3rd stockyards secret area that sounds just like the invincibility death glitch in Abes oddysey, the one you use to get to FFZ early. If we can replicate it, it can cut the run by 50%.
FreeFirezones all about catching cycles. Heres a video from Qwerku, one of the first runners of the game who had the original 1:18 time in Freefirezone, back when me and sutiibu were struggling to get sub 1:50 with rocks.
We each have different strategies for the end but up til the mine skip everyones run is the same.
but it doesnt show seconds?
Will it have to be like pokemon where we only show minutes? Im not a fan of that. There wont be any way of knowing whos ahead of smrty gets a 1:06 as well.
But how will we figure out IGT? If u run any%, and then switch to 100% then the leaderboards wont update. And u cant use the time in the save files cuz it doesnt show seconds.
Also, i brought up this very issue weeks ago and no one payed any attention?
Id check it out, but I dont have a PC.
So its not something u can do on PS4 (or any console) because u gotta quickload as well? Then it either has to be its own category or PC has to be split from consoles.
Because even the IGT will be faster.
Yeah, this sounds cool.
My main speedgame is Oddworld: Abes oddysee - New n tasty on PS4, the Hd remaster of the PS1 classic. Its a cool, challenging puzzle platformer that isnt hard to get a hang of. There isnt really any skips in the game, but its recently been getting a few people finding some tricks that are cutting the time a fair bit. Any% takes around 1:10 and 100% is around 2:10 (I have the WR for 100% with 2:14 but thats cuz Ive really only ran it twice and no one else runs the category)
Other than that I speedrun the tutorials for the recently released Evolve. And I also do the Daily and weekly challenges in Rayman Legends, with hopes to speedrun it in the future.
So were splitting the categories right? Riiiiiight?
Whats happening. If this glitch is used in the run to save time, then it should either be its own category or the PC version should be seperate.
Also, the glitch seems to be dependent on lagg. So I assume people with lower spec PC's cant do this trick without either crashing their game or maybe they dont have the FPS to do it. If everyone cant do it it might have to be its own category.
Im assuming none of that can be applied to a run :P Although Ive never thought of using the quiksave lagg to go through stuff. Though in a speedrun it might do more harm than good.
I guess reset would be the better word then.
