I found another glitch in the game while messing around on one of my saves. I found out that you could duplicate recipes on a cooking channel. Basically, this means that you can make one-off video types, like "Explain Recipe" videos, multiple times with one recipe and not receive a penalty for doing so. All of this, including how to do the glitch, is shown in this video and its description.
As for it's authorization in runs, I believe that this glitch should be allowed. It adds something new to the otherwise monotonous task of making a recipe and then a couple videos about it. It also doesn't require any manipulation from a different save, unlike the last glitch I found. Let me know what you guys think.
Sure. I'm fresh out of ideas, but if anyone else has an idea to try and expand this glitch into more than just 6k exp, I encourage you. I've been trying to transfer network events and assignments on a music save, but no luck so far. Maybe it's possible in other channel types, like cooking and fashion. Just an idea.
For clarification, I don't think this should be an allowed strategy in runs. Maybe if the community finds more glitches we could make a Glitch% category, but I don't think we should greenlight this in normal runs.
I've been able to recreate the glitch in such a way to get to Level 3 by Insta-Leveling. Most likely, this wouldn't help at all in shorter runs (like Apartment%), but it could certainly prove useful in categories like 50k or 100k. Being able to instantly get a skill point could mean instantly unlocking First Impressions for the gaming category, potentially making it much faster to get to 10k subscribers. Here's the video: The explanation of what I did is in the description. I just thought of a new idea for this glitch that might give even greater rewards, so I'll keep this thread updated with any new finds. (also, sorry for no audio on the video, I guess OBS didn't record it for some reason.)
Anytime you complete a task, you're character does a little jump and spin and you gain charisma and exp. But, if you exit the save, you won't get any of the rewards. However, if you make a new save, you will instantly get the rewards, almost always getting you to level 2 and theoretically to level 3 (with any task above 4k exp or so), being able to unlock a skill point without even playing the save. I don't know if this will be of use to anyone, but I could see it's usage in longer runs like the X subscribers runs or any housing run above apartment. Here's video proof:
