On the other Mario Party boards, you have to win the map. So while it doesn't explicitly say it here, I'd assume the same rule applies.
YES! Gareth is such an adorable person. And Laurent... Tanks vs Wizards.
Just finished my second year! And there's no need for that lol, I should be fine. I appreciate the offer though :')
LOL even smaller world, I'm doing Games Dev there now!
Will do! It'll probably be a few weeks yet but I'll definitely get around to it at some point.
On a random note, did you used to study at UCLan? I found your Twitter and you mentioned Preston lol, small world if so!
I'm planning to get into this over summer lol so that's three! Wanted to run it after playing the Kickstarter alpha, and especially so when the game came out and I realised the maze was disgustingly skippable. Anyway yeah it's not a problem. I make backups of my Humble games anyway.
This seems like a good idea. Probably worth adding a version variable to Any% too. On a side note, if you still want 1.004 and bought the game through Humble, the latest version on there is 1.004.
That'd be neat! Might actually make some of us play something that isn't easy lol
I ended up requesting the 3DS version because I get anxious waiting for responses... Sorry about that lol. But it's been really fun to play, especially the added stuff. Definitely pick it up if you have the chance o/
If your computer is really bad, I'd recommend something like Bandicam over OBS. My laptop basically chokes if I even try to preview something in OBS, never mind trying to record, but Bandicam runs fine, and if you play the game windowed, you can line up your splits to be recorded alongside the game (eg, this is how my Corpse Party recordings look: ). Bandicam does cost but it isn't all that expensive for just one computer. Anyway, if you can manage OBS fine, it shouldn't be a problem ♪
Pretty similar topic to the other forum post but I'm not sure what to do about the 3DS version. Could it be added here or would it need a separate game to account for the additional content? Should hopefully have a few runs done soon so just wanted to know for when they're submitted ♪
Edit: Done my first few runs and I feel it definitely should be a different game for similar reasons to the PC version. Holding X gives you a text skip, and while it isn't as fast as the PC version, it seems noticeably faster than the PSP version. My first run was 14:24 - almost two minutes faster than PSP WR despite a fair bit of unoptimal movement ().
I don't mind helping setup a 3DS board, if that's a concern. I think that's everything I have to say ♥
It is, runs done on emulators are just hidden by default (see: http://www.speedrun.com/marioparty7/thread/2w9ja). To view emu runs as well, go on Filter > Emulators > Consoles and Emulators.
A phone stand is a good place to start. If you don't have a stand, maybe try a Lego setup to prop it up? Might seem like a bit of hassle but you can get relatively good results. The other option would be NTR Streamer if your 3DS is on a firmware where you can have CFW (though if you're on the latest firmware, this isn't an option for you).
