Hi I just submitted a run yesterday, I hope I did it correctly. I didn't set up a timer app, so I'm using video timestamps to determine the time (it's only 11s more than in-game time so they match... almost ^^).

I didn't know there was a forum to talk, it's nice! :)

Also I find it harsh that the Timer mod is not allowed... Even if we need to add a few seconds in the end to account for pauses/UPS lag, that's still helpful for the runner to evaluate his performance in real time.
