You can submit your run either as emulator or as GBA. I do think that WiiU VC should be considered emulator, but your run won't be rejected if you mark that as GBA. I hope you enjoy the game.

Does everyone agree with what VB said? I'll just give 2 days so people can give their opnion about it, then I'll create the category. We will probally use undine anyway, since we usually go for the claimh solais :p

I didn't metion the backdash + jump to gain some frames, that looks ok :p I was referring to the jump that we use on soma any%. It happens on 2:50 in this video You can also see the double jump used to get at Floating garden on 7:52 of the same video. I'll see your pb as soon as I get home.
Hey Hidetomatsu. Welcome to the community. It's possible to create this category, no problem at all. SethCharleon already runs this category, and Socal_Glim thinks about running it too. I just want to set all the rules for the glitchless category first. I mean, I know that the zips aren't allowed, but the backdash + jump strat in order to get on a high place will be valid? Can we access the floating garden using only the double jump? In my opnion, those are mechanics of the games and should be allowed. But that's just my opnion. I would like to hear what you guys think about it so we can settle the rules for the sake of competition.

That works pretty well Dragondarch. I added that rule for Soma runs (not submit igt).
I "tried" to change Julius category but it appears that you can't set some of them to IGT, and keep others ordered by RTA. Dragondarch is more knowledgeable on speedrun.com than me, maybe he knows how to do it. There's always the risk of getting every single run erased from the leaderboard, that's why I didn't do much. I'll save your runs in a .txt as a backup so I can try it again later. :p
About any% or any% no 0HP glitch, people would submit the same run for both categories. That's not what we want.
I really never thought about 100%. It would take me a while to verify a run since I'm not used to this category right now. But I'm not against it. If people want to run it, we can work a way out.

Hi Seth. That's pretty much how the runners want to split the categories. I agree with you. From what I recall, Hector agrees with that too. I've the tools to do it, but I don't know what the others moderators think about that. It would be good if at least one more runner comment about it, so this won't look like a 2 person only thing.
Hello Zewing, I've tried contacting DragonDarch via twitter a few months ago for no avail, as seem here: https://twitter.com/Sambss_/status/648523350575325188 The thing is: out of the 4 moderators on the game, 3 of them are global for the Castlevaina franchise but only one of the four (DragonDarch), has actually done runs of the game, on the Julius categories. I know all of them are active runners, but the leaderboard seems dead as of late. I could verify the runs for both Julius and Soma categories and bring some life to the leaderboards, making it easier for new people to join the series. As I mentioned on the earlier post, I have some free time that I could put into it.
Hey. I would like to ask for moderation status on the game Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. I tried to submit different Soma runs (I've been a runner of the Soma categories for 4 months) several times and none of them were verified by any of the mods on the leadrerboard. Here’s an example: http://imgur.com/QedUSJd Those weren’t the first ones. As got new pb’s, the old ones were being replaced being at least 3 months worth of submission who never got verified. Hectorpaddy didn’t get his runs verified either. I tried to reach the mods on http://www.speedrun.com/Castlevania_Aria_Of_Sorrow/thread/6s4if ,but didn’t get an answer. I think I can do a good job on the leaderboard. I’ve some free time to verify runs and I have patience to help new runners.
