We should have a new category for 2.2 since theres major map changes, some skips being patched, and the boost working differently from how it has before.

Currently there isn't anyway to quickly do it, we'll have to wait until update 2.2 for that.

I just realized that all the old categories, like update 1, pre-fix update, etc. Are all gone did they get removed when Vivi added Pvp Disabled and Pvp Enabled?

I personally think something like this shouldn't be allowed, you aren't starting where you would in a normal game, feels cheap in a way.

I don't think we need to archive the current category, you're right the games runs currently should be just for fun since they wont be staying around for long. I think when the game has finished it's map much later on in update 3 or onward it should be taken a bit more seriously. Another thing, Yuma messaged you in your dms, just wanted to let you know incase you missed it.

Currently, in update 2.1 Egzekiel has made a nerf to some skips in the game, he has changed slopes to 85. This causes the climb to Green skip to be significantly more difficult compared to update 2, this means getting the same speeds in 2.1 as update 2 is nearly impossible. Along with this Cyan rail skip has been made harder as well, although Egzekiel has not said what he did. Another problem is the warning message for picking up the emeralds in PvP has broke and no longer displays on screen.

I'm glad everyone agrees with me, but ViviBloom has yet to see it. I hope this does end up getting added as a new category for us to enjoy.

Here's Tonkatsu's Sonic Ultimate RPG: Assailants Jump a Victim video, you can see some of the tricks we did while using the PVP abilities.

This should be done after the map is complete, since they would have to change it again once the map eventually gets changed again.

the PVP abilites can also be used as mobility and has the possibility to completely change the run, the discoveries Tonkatsu and myself have found with pvp have been crazy.

just a thought but I was thinking a pvp abilities on category could be good, You would start with no emeralds and have pvp on before you start the run. You can be sure you collected the emeralds if you hit the trigger that displays the message preventing you from picking up the emeralds. The run would end just as the All Emeralds%, collecting the 7th and last emerald. Adding this as a category could add some needed variety to this games speedruns hopefully attracting more people to run the game.

pretty good run, but I have yet to see someone use the new skips to go faster.

Finally some competition 👀

Hurts to see nobody speedrunning fix update 2 like fix update 1 and before it. Trying to have some competition to have some fun, hopefully people starting speedrunning this game again.

After the update to forest and desert area of the map it is pretty much impossible to get the same times as you used to. All older runs need to be invalid to the current version on the game.
