I see what you mean, but I have to disagree with you. Speedruns shouldn't be just pure skill because then anyone can do it after enough practice. There needs to be some luck involved to make it a good mix of skill and fortune. It's kinda like how people that speedrun minecraft on a random seed need to have a lot of skill while also hoping they get a good seed.
