While playing casually, I decided to see what the game looks like with special effects turned off and learned that the game locks the camera during the Tomahna elevator, but you can only pause when special effects are enabled.
So I wondered what would happen if I disabled special effects while the elevator is moving.
Turns out it skips the animation entirely.
I understand that if you want to run the game with faster load times, you may as well just play the PC version since it's more accessible.
I’ve watched RealPoltergoose’s Any% run and noticed that the Xbox version has the same amount of load time as the PC version. I understand it’s NTSC exclusive, I’m just surprised there aren’t more Xbox runners.
Funny thing I remembered. For the radio puzzle, I never used notes to remember the solution. I know you don't need to go to the radio on the side of the lake, but it is important for backtracking.
I imagine you do the same.
'cauz when I counted the amount of symbols in my casual playthrough, I used tally marks, what about you?
I'm aware of that, but what does your notes of the number of required symbols generally look like? (I should've been more specific with my last question)
What about the memory/bear puzzle?
Do you just draw a really rough sketch of them?
How do people remember the symbols beside the cannon without slowing down?
