It has been considered many times in the past due to its many improvements. However, it does fundamentally change the run (reload dash distances are different). Many games use a 3rd party tool to limit fps, so we don't see a problem doing the same.

Additionally from our testing 2 years ago, we found that the game crashes more during infinite dash with NVTF than without.

Timing is a big part, but speedcripple can just be inconsistent sometimes. Sometimes you will just have to restart the game and try again if you keep getting temp.

Right click livesplit and go to edit splits -> settings then you a bunch of autosplitter options

Have a window capture for livesplit and then another window capture or game capture for New Vegas

You can still run on the latest patch, it just won't have its own leaderboard.

Download the Italian voice files. Move it "/Fallout New Vegas/Data". Rename the current "Fallout - Voices1.bsa" to "Fallout - Voices1MYLANGUAGE.bsa" then rename the Italian one to "Fallout - Voices1.bsa"

A few people have already started routing and doing runs. For new game it'll probably be a few hours but ng+ will be under 40 minutes.

A few glitches have been found which will likely lower these times a lot.

You need to set that up in OBS, livesplit itself will not show over the game.

As for every speedgame - Modifications are not allowed unless stated otherwise in the rules, this means ba2 and ESM modifications as well as external trainers are not allowed.

For account wide unlockables and the atomic shop, I would say to just not use them as they can give an unfair advantage, unless they are purely cosmetic or can be obtained by a new player during the run.

All categories are essentially "new game" not "new game+" to allow new players to be in the same position as players who have thousands of hours in the game

It's common to get "fake speedcripple" the only thing you can do is just retry it. In some runs you'll notice people load their quicksave again to double check they have it which means they can easily retry if not.

I believe this is known about as there are a lot of versions of 'time stop' this one, however is not used in runs due to it having slightly different properties to marker method shown in guides. But still a good find :)

It has been seen before and I believe it was something to do with the voices bsa file but I don't think we found a way to reproduce it :)

This will sadly never be a speedrun category. However, you are more than welcome to run it and post your time somewhere. It just won't have a leaderboard :)

Due to this being a very specific and arbitrary rule set it likely won't be a category however there is nothing stopping you from doing a run and posting it in the discord to show off. If the run is really good it could get considered :)

side note: Ranger Sequoia is not unique

If the game crashes, then yes the run is dead. However glitchless runs do not often crash if you have the 4gb patch and the ini fixes :)

Making an autosplitter for this game is a nightmare but I am working on it. Due to the updates I've not fully committed to making one as it would just break :)

It happens quite often however there's a decent chance you get launched and won't hit the trigger for Lanius to spawn making it risky. By all means, try it if you wish. :)
