I run Friday like this: Package, Alternator, Uncle Dave.
But in a bunch of runs, like SgtMaximum's WR for example, they run the exact same route, only in reverse order. Is there a reason for this? I have been testing, and I found that my route was a few seconds faster due to being able to jump over the roofs after picking up the Package.
Is there a reason people run Friday the opposite way?
Loading times in 5021 seem to be longer than in 5020.
In my 5020 PB, with one time where I loaded a quicksave, the difference between RT and IGT was 20:58. In my 5021 PB, single segment, the difference between RT and IGT was 21:15.
"1) By the time the chore list on Monday goes away, you already have 1 second of IGT, so it actually starts during loading screen.
- For some strange reason the game automatically adds 0.4 second everytime you get out of a loading transition, which doesn't make sense. "
Well, since everybody is experiencing this, I don't see why we should change it, Just adds the hassle of adjusting every single runtime.
btw, is there a way to pick which version you play in the Steam version?
Add to that: in 5021 people will fall down when you shoot them but don't kill them, instead of just flinching.
I just started speedrunning this game, and I have a question about timing.
How do you get your timer to overlay the game? I have tried with several different timers, I've changed all the settings and everything, but I can't get it to work.
Okay, from now on I'll just submit the runs that went really well.
And yeah, I tested Ramdisk on Monday and it worked there, but later in the game it started slowing down. =( I have a HP Pavilion 15-p262nd
I just did my first full run with ramdisk and overall my loading screens are about 2,5 minutes longer. Don't know why. Also, my submitted PB that I edited the patch of hasn't been verified yet.
I downloaded the ramdisk, andmy loading screens are a few seconds shorter now. Thanks!
I have gotten it a few times and I've learned it from Ewil and SgtMaximum's videos. Just keep trying and eventually you'll get it. I haven't rerouted my runs for gimp skip yet, because I can't get it consistently enough. It usually takes about 3 or 4 tries. I once got it on first try, in a run that was 40:43 IGT, but OBS crashed, so it wasn't recorded. Real time was definately not PB though, so it isn't all bad.
I don't have such a good PC, so I lose about 7 minutes more on loading screens than other runners on the leaderboard. Is there a way to make the loading screens shorter?
I mean, you can just see the real time on the video, right? Can I just use the in-game timer?
Do you have to use a timer btw? Or can you just use the in-game timer?
