Thanks, I did read the rules before I posted I just don’t know how to follow some of them.

For example it says:

“ PC runs have a 120fps cap, and FPS must be shown at all times You may use Rivatuner to cap your FPS manually, and can cap to anything under 120fps You may pause the game to change FPS for tactical purposes.”

But I don’t know how to limit my fps to 120 or how to use RivaTuner so I was hoping maybe someone had a link to a guide or something.

Usually I get ~140fps on my 2080 Ti so I would be breaking the rules and my run would be disqualified because I can control my fps.

I do have OBS and I’ve used it to stream DBD on Twitch many times.

I’m also not sure if it counts as PC or console if I use a PC to run the game and an Xbox controller with Bluetooth to play it.

Hey guys I’m new to the forum.

I’ve never submitted a speedrun before but I’ve started speedrunning my first game which is RE: Village.

I’ve managed to get my time down to 1 hour and 45 minutes on PC on casual, 1h 49 minutes on standard difficulty, and 1h 55m on hardcore difficulty all without glitches which is better than some of the slower scores currently on the leaderboard.

Sadly my Village of Shadows difficulty run was quite a bit slower than the leaderboards at around 2h 55m

Now I know that my past runs wouldn’t count since I didn’t record or stream it but how do I get started?

I don’t know where to find all the programs and stuff being asked for or how to set it all up and I’d hate to spend all that time going for a leaderboard worthy time only to have my run disqualified because of a minor technicality that I wasn’t aware of.

Can someone please help me figure out how to get setup so I can play and submit my first speedrun to the site?

Thanks! :)

I just signed up on this site a few days ago after a few months of watching UhTrance do Resident Evil speedruns and it inspired me to get into speedrunning but I have a question.

I would ask the mods of the games I will be speedrunning but because my account isn’t a week old I can’t send messages to anyone.

Here is my question: I plan on running Metro Exodus and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey but I don’t know what I’m supposed to do to prove the legitimacy of my runs. I don’t want to spend all that time practicing and learning only for my run to be rejected if/when I succeed.

Should I use hand cam? Or what are some things I can do to help prove that my runs are 100% legitimate?

I will do whatever is asked but there isn’t much info on the game rules of those games and I can’t PM the moderators of those games to ask because my account isn’t old enough.

Thank you!

Oh ok thanks! Would you happen to have a link to the rules by any chance? I just joined today so I’m not sure where everything on the site is located. I hate to ask you to go out of your way but once I know where it is I won’t have to ask anyone else.

Hey everyone I just joined the site today after a few months of watching speedruns on YouTube and I have a quick question:

What are some things I can do to verify that my runs are legitimate? I’ve seen a lot of videos about speedrunners who cheat and I want to make sure that my runs are validated.

Like should I record my hands on my controller so that verifiers can see every press on the controller corresponds to the same action on the screen? Should I keep the audio on? Anything that helps verify my run would be appreciated.

I plan on speedrunning Metro Exodus and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (Any%) so if anyone has additional advice about those games in particular I would appreciate that as well.

Thanks!

Hey thanks!

I’ve just watched a lot of YouTube videos about people splicing or faking speedruns and I want to be able to prove beyond any doubt that my runs are 100% legit so I wasn’t sure if there was anyway to do that.

Hello everyone, I just joined the site today after becoming interested in speedrunning from watching UhTrance do Resident Evil speedruns.

I do have one question: I plan on speedrunning Metro Exodus but I’m wondering what to do to ensure my runs are verified as legit?

Is there anything I can do that will help verify the authenticity of my runs?

Thanks!
