I think this site is great. It does all the things I wanted to code into nintendo-records but never had time to do.
Given that Sealand is an uninhabited hunk of concrete in the ocean, nobody is from there, and I'm skeptical anyone's doing speed runs there.
Thank goodness we don't have some stupid ACE on NES so we don't get another rash of folks claiming Any% WR ATTEMPTS.
The glitch is banned or not. It doesn't matter whether you get it with or without fairy.
Well, frankly, a big reason this site is so successful is that it's not trying to make everything "one big speedrunning community." It provides tools for individual, self-regulating communities.
They all work on Wii VC. Wii VC is very accurate, but runs slightly slower. You lose about a second every 10 minutes to the VC framerate (60.002 instead of 60.098)
It makes all the sense in the world for this site to make heavy use of JS, to maximize cache and CDN use.
Uh, why bother making a new thread when the topic is still ongoing?
Well it's an official re-release. So we'd mark it as a separate console. If it's inaccurately emulated we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
The past run data is all there. Which is how the site itself constructs "WR progressions" using the best known times on the board.
The reason I haven't done any load time work yet is that it hasn't mattered much. It doesn't matter what the load times are except in a competitive situation where it determines who has the record.
As soon as it matters, I'll get the work done. I will not allow hardware to give someone a competitive advantage, not on my watch.
FDSstick, FDSemu, Powerpak, Everdrive, real FDS, VC, doesn't matter what you run on. I'll equalize it.
you need to reset before registering a name, but you don't have to reset between registering your name and starting
I probably will. i have some route maps somewhere but I'll incorporate these new ideas.
Though I'm going to go easy mode a bit, and use lightning differently.

Here's where you can find other categories to run.
Fact is no runners should ever care what someone else is pejoratively calling a 'meme.' It's one of the most meaningless tags to put on a category.
I don't run it because I consider 2Q to be a bad romhack. :)
