Newer versions can be faster if they better optimize loads. This is the case for Super Mario Odyssey, where faster loads save more time over the course of the run in Any% than the older glitches do.

It’s not a bug; it’s intended behavior. If you edit a run on the leaderboard expect it to need to be verified again, to make sure it still meets all standards.
