I submitted it twice, but it’s not showing up in my pending requests. Mods, can you see it?
Here is the info from the page I linked on what a game needs to not be considered trivial: • The game should have a reasonable length such as 5 minutes or longer. • The game should show that a reasonable level of effort has been put into development from a functionality standpoint. • The game should have been played by a reasonably large number of people. • The gameplay should show some potential for optimization through speedrunning. • Fangames with common names that create confusion in the search bar may also be held to a higher standard. There are hundreds of generic Mario fangames.
But as was mentioned above, this rule isn’t relevant to the game you submitted. It was rejected for having PvP.
As far as triviality, there’s more info on here as to what requirements need to be met: https://www.speedrun.com/gamerequestrules
As for your game, I don’t know what you want me to say. It conflicts with a current rule, so it wasn’t accepted.
Note in the game request rules: “What We Do Not Accept
At this time, we are not adding the following:
- Short/Trivial Games
- Generic Puzzle Games
- Generic Typing Games
- Geography Games
- Vocabulary/Math and other Educational Games
- Quiz Games
- Generic Sudoku Solvers/Minesweeper Remakes/Rubik's Cube Solvers/etc.
- Visual Novels/Interactive Movies
- PvP-Related Activities
- High-Score Based Submissions
- Non-Video-Game Activities”
Key phrase: at this time. This doesn’t mean they’ve never accepted them before. Rainbow Six Siege was added way back in 2016, and I assume Dead by Daylight is older as well.
Are these not visible on mobile? I clicked a bunch of the links in this thread and didn’t see anything.
If you want it to be a category on here, you would need to ask the moderators of the game to add it.
Also, in addition to Web as somebody mentioned above, lots of games under iOS or Android are free.
I’ve never tried speedrunning Runescape, but it’s fun and free.
Ni no Kuni has an amazing soundtrack.
This game has been ported to Xbox One, PS4, and Switch. Could we have those added as platform options here?
I was able to get a full run today! I’ll submit it as soon as it finishes (slowly) uploading to YouTube.
Ok, I understand. I’ll just be more careful next time. 🙂
Hello, I was trying to do an all-boards run and accidentally stopped the video during the second board. Would it be acceptable for me to do the rest of it in a second video or does it need to be continuous?
Hi, I’m new here. I did a 1000 jump run, and then submitted it for that category, as well as for 100 and 500 since the respective times would’ve been on the leaderboard there too. It was only accepted for 100 jumps, and the message was that a video can’t be submitted for multiple categories. Why is this the case? If I upload the video separately two more times, perhaps cropping it to 500 for one of those, would I be able to use those then? Or can each run only be submitted to one category? And are these rules just for JRC, or for this entire site?
Thank you.
