Hi, i'm wanting to do a speedrun of a game I've wanted to play for years. Please don't make fun of me. I want to speedrun the Backyardigans game on the DS but I can't find a capture device anywhere on amazon that captures footage from a DS or other hand helds. How does one record footage from a hand held?

Hi Road Rash 64 community. BTW no this isn't a post to get the category onto the board :P! I love using my imagination and coming up with my own categories. I would love to hear your opinion on this one. I came up with a category called Big Game, No MORSC(Major Off Road Short Cuts). Now in most runs that I saw I usually see speedrunners going off road and completely driving off course to get to another road farther way closer to the finish line. In this category you are not allowed to do that. Here's whats allowed though. For example, on smaller zig zags, you can stay going straight and get off the road to avoid turning. Also on sharp 90 degree turns, you can go off the road to avoid having to slow down on those hard turns. In my opinion those don't count as major off road shortcuts. I would like your opinions please :)

Hi everyone, I would like your opinions on this, just like the title asks, do y'all thing the Flying Regelia would be useful in a speedrun?

Let me start by saying, my limits for speedrunning is 3 hours, meaning I can't speedrun games that takes ME longer than 3 hours to complete. Now there's 1 game I really want to speedrun and just say "Fuc* my limits I'm running it". That game is Phantasy Star Universe! It will most likely take me up to 10 hours possibly but it's a challenge i'm willing to take. Phantasy Star Universe is a vey long JRPG and my biggest challenge will be trying to get far without a lot of grinding. The LV grinding is 1 thing that keeps me from speedrunning JRPGs unless there's a NG+. Another challenge for me will be memorizing the game. But i'm ready for the challenge. SideNote: I don't have the game yet lol :P

Video Game Music is my 2nd most favorite type of music of all time(Anime Music being my 1st). 1 video game track that I love a lot is Erased Memories from Final Fantasy Type 0

Hi everyone, 1st off no this isn't a post asking to get this category onto the leaderboards. I honestly just wanted to share it with y'all. I'm sorry if this isn't allowed. Anyways, the category I came up with is called Exterminator% where I kill a specific amount of enemies in the mines. In this run I did 50 kills. I came up with my own rules for it as well. I can start on any floor I want, I start my run upon selecting the floor. My rules is I can't go back to use the elevator at all, I have to continue through the mines the natural way and look for the hidden latters to make it more interesting and more difficult. I ended my run upon killing the 50th enemy. Like I said I just wanted to share this with y'all. If this kind of post isn't allowed I'm really sorry

I want to try doing Glitchless runs of Half Life 2. And i want to setup my splits by chapter. But i can't figure what points in the game that you actually enter the next chapter, could you pls help? A video would be a lot more helpful. BTW I'm new to half life 2 and only beat it once lol

Hi everyone, 1st time playing Half Life 2, i'm wanting to speedrun it afterwards if it works on my PC while using OBS!(It works fine so far without OBS). Anyways to the main point. In my speedrun I don't want to do any form of glitches, no voidclips, propclips or any other glitches. So what category would this be that's available on the leaderboards?

Hi everyone. I really want to start speedrunning DK64. I'm just super worried about a couple things. 1, the game is so long and difficult for me but I really want to speedrun it. 2, the way I want to speedrun it is no glitches(Because they're too hard for me) except the glitch that allows you to go to the bosses without the color bananas(If it's possible on Wii U) and I worry I might become a burden or something to this community for wanting to speedrun the game that way. I've watched people speedrun this game a lot, mainly Hagginator, but it looks so fun and awesome and I want to be a part of this community. Got any words of advice or something? BTW pls don't encourage me to do glitches and also what category would fit the way I want to speedrun the game? And how do I skip the opening cutscene?
