i don't have 300
Haha, I wasn't implying you should :)
request their town's flag to be added
Oh yeah, I have a few countries' regions to add, including Austria and Brazil.
Maybe Racingmonster. I did make an exception for one guy because he donated €300.
Dear speedfriends, at some point later today, we will have Google ads on the site. Now don't worry, because:
• They'll be hidden if you're logged in • The text-based ones will blend in with the colour theme • They're be as relevant as possible • They don't pop up or anything
Revenue would go towards:
• Covering site costs (like a new server, and bandwidth) • Repaying the high cost of the domain name
We expect it to be proportional to the level of effort that has been and continues to be put into the site, and will result in better performance, as well as more time dedicated to developing the site.
We know that many of you will be using an adblocker anyway, but if you could consider whitelisting the site, we would really appreciate it.
Thank you all for understanding <3
I'll add more info later, but for now I just have 3 suggestions for the next ESA:
• A small signal light should be near the player's screen which the host can turn on to let them know that there are donations awaiting. • The total amount of donations received should be on the screen (even if only between games) so that viewers have an idea of the progress we're making. • If we're in the same venue, perhaps the Yellow Stream should be in that other room where the watermelon gamepad is set up, to reduce interference between it and the Purple Stream.
We want to get a News article system set up, and we're looking for a volunteer to write some good quality articles. The candidate should ideally be:
• A native English speaker (other languages will be available at a later point) • Good at spelling, grammar and punctuation • Able to express themselves well • Interested in (and up-to-date with) various speedgames and events
It's basic, really. If you're interested, please give a link to any sample article you've written before. If you know anybody else who might be interested, please refer them here :)
So Melis, who lives in Turkey, needs a visa to get to Sweden, but she's having a little trouble.
Basically, they won't give her a visa because she's under 18, she hasn't left her country before, and now she wants to go to some random city in Sweden for 10 days, unless she can prove that people will be going with her.
It would really help if any of you (even if you don't know her; we need about 15 - 20 people) could forward your plane, hotel (not mass housing) or train confirmation e-mails to melis.dogan.9@hotmail.com so that she can forward these with her visa application to prove that she's legitimate.
Time is of the essence, so we'd really appreciate whatever you can do to help, thanks dudes.
Not speedrun-related, but I've gotten kind of into the Gen III games lately, so if anybody fancies a wee battle at ESA, make sure you bring your GBA so you can get your ass handed to you.
I've also got a legit Jirachi and Celebi you can trade-cycle for your Pokédex.
Browsers are very slow to refresh favicons, especially Firefox.
(the ones that actually have flags)
Listed for Sweden's regions are its provinces (the ones that actually have flags).
Stockholm, as I'm sure you're aware, is not a province.
They expire in 48 hours, but I've just deleted it manually so you should be able to sign up again now.
