Okay I'm here we need one more lol You should make the doc public
Hey guys, due to the release of four new levels (Atlantis), we may need to scrap current Any% records. I recommend anyone who did Any% to resubmit PBs for ILs
I read this post and was like wow someone should do a speedrun of speedrun.com But I'm not saying like ban%, I mean that speedrun.com should have a little hidden game or something That would be so meta (I'm kidding tho elo please spend time developing useful site features as usual hehe)
But why garsh Is this A thing
Can y'all add individual levels please Not sure why I can't do that as series mod lol
With that logic, TV is the platform for every old console. A TV can connect to a DVD Player just as much as it can connect to a device that takes cartridges or plug n' play devices. I do believe that DVD/Blu-ray player is a more accurate console name.
Also woo can't wait to see speedruns of Shrek 2 American Idol and Scene It
I do believe that my commentary on this is epic and will always get better with age
My first speedrun (before this) that was rejected was a run of Red Beard. Q press strats.
I'd also suggest to leaderboard mods that they set rules that would allow users to submit ILs from within a longer run.
Usually I try to designate start and end times that:
- Are a clearly repeating on the user interface (an icon appears, a certain sprite appears, a screen appears)
- Also occur when a user restarts the level from the level menu
- Occur within the level and not on a level select page
- Can be used as timing rules for both full game and individual level
For instance:
- Cat Bird: Time begins on the first frame that Cat Bird hits the ground after starting or restarting the level. Time ends when you lose control of Cat Bird at the portal (which is indicated by a black frame in most runs).
- Frozen Free Fall Icy Shot: Time begins on the first frame of your first shot on Level 1 (when the total amount of snowballs you have goes down by 1). Time ends when your ball count hits 0 after beating Level 30.
- Super Cat Bros: Time will start on the first frame that the cat opens its mouth to meow and ends when the facial expression changes when hitting the finish line.
Tbh I don't think "Glitchless" and "Any%" accurately account for the rules of those two categories. Clearly they are both Any% but have different rules on boosts and special balls.
Maybe we could rename them to "Default" and "Special" or something. Up for brainstorming this
I see Neon was added to fullgame but it should also be added for ILs
Also damn there are a lot of free WRs lying around lol...
Drag and drop a png or jpg into srcom to upload for forum, guide, resource, run comment etc., Reduces need for Imgur or Discord for image hosting and enables quicker sharing of media on srcom
Requested around 2 years ago :)) https://www.speedrun.com/post/x59u4
Bumping these: More informative audit logs - https://www.speedrun.com/post/vsnin Export audit logs - https://www.speedrun.com/post/3vsgn Mods (non Super Mods) should be able to access audit logs - https://www.speedrun.com/post/88fwf
Audit Logs need a good update in order to be effective for moderators.
Also, in line with exporting, exporting user profile info from your profile would be a cool feature. Edit: Wait, I'm told this exists under Account & Security
In honor of the most active game on SRC (Pou) using our little retiming app :)) It would be awesome to have an in-house version of this retimer: https://slashinfty.github.io/yt-frame-timer/
Currently, this only works for YouTube videos, but I believe YouTube is the main platform people use here, aside from Twitch.
The design would be as follows: If turned on in a mods profile (if that becomes an option), a mod should see retimer configurations beneath the video. The configuration includes a space for start time, end time, and FPS. Instructions guide the user on how to get this information. Once computed, a button that says "Verify with new RTA Time" could appear, meaning that whatever is currently listed as RTA would be replaced by the computed time and the run would be automatically verified. For archiving and disputing purposes, it would be best practice to append a mod message to the comment of the run that clearly shows start time, end time, and FPS.
This was requested a couple years ago, but I think it would work even better with the new mod hub design :)) https://www.speedrun.com/post/leqjl
In Stick RPG, the fastest completion of the game is to sleep for 15 days and get the title of "utter failure"
Can't wait until someone does a full game run in this category haha
Probably means that clicking on an IL in the graph takes you to that run now ^ Can't remember there ever being an issue with that though lol
