I hope you won't delete the runs together with the account
Every character which is not a normal letter, digit or a dash; is considered a special character. You have to URL-encode them, and then put it in the user profile url. For example, to access user @ you write: https://www.speedrun.com/user/%40
Unlike everything else in the game theme, the game-icon and trophies-icons are not replaced immediately when you change them. The old versions are saved in a server cache, and it can take a few hours up to 2-3 days until they are updated. It's annoying, but you will have to be patient.
I like to speedrun 2D platformers, and from those I enjoy running puzzle platformers, precision platformers, and Metroidvania/adventure games.
"non-enemies" games is not a genre, but I also enjoy running games that are more based on movements and not fighting enemies. Usually, enemies or bosses have an element of randomness to them, and I don't like that in my speedruns.
As @hahhah42 said, web games are nice because they are so accessible, and you can find lot of good stuff if you know where to look. I also sometimes want to speedrun very short games (up to 5-10 minutes), and web games are usually perfect for that.
Regarding the rejected runs issue - rejected runs actually get into the list immediately. However, just like the "runs awaiting verification" list is limited to 50 runs; the rejected runs list is also limited to 50 runs, with priority to show older runs. So, you only see new rejections after the old rejections go away from the list (after one month).
The "show old" button for rejected runs is also useless, because it is also limited to 50 runs, and show only the 50 most old rejections in your games. (In my case, most of them are not even my rejections).
I think it's the decent thing to do, because after the run is beaten, your video title claims something that is not true. If you don't care about that or don't want to update titles of old runs, you can just not put the title "world record" in the first place.

You mean your profile picture or theme? If we ignore the stupid newsletter/advertisements on the side; this is your personal place on the site, so do whatever you want there that feels comfortable for you.
Right now I'm still struggling to complete the game in easy mode. But as I see it for now:
- Normal mode have more bombs/enemies, and it forces you to be slow at some points or be extra cautious. Makes sense to separate that from easy mode.
- One life mode is just a more annoying version of the normal mode. If you are good at normal mode, you won't die anyway while speedrunning it.
- Leave no evidence mode - seems like an unforgiving variant of the normal mode that requires you to be perfect in your star throws
- One life + no evidence - No... Just no... the nightmares...
