SpeedCon 2019 has come to an end and we'd love to hear what you thought. If you were onsite, a viewer or helped as a volunteer we are really interested to see what you think and make improvements for SpeedCon 2020.

We hope you all get home safe and catch up on some sleep.

Hey everyone,

after we've all calmed down from the ending and slept a bit I'd like to open the feedback thread. We'd like to hear from your perspective what went good and what wasn't so good. Doesn't matter if you were a runner, attendee, host or viewer. We'd really appreciate some feedback so we can know what to change next year. And with that... Hopefully see all of you at Speedcon 2019!

Hey, I can't really promise anything since I don't have any confirmation from the other orga members but in my opinion it shouldn't be a problem if the runner is okay with it and you're just taking a short nap.

Hey everyone,

we have some really great news for you today. We got a date for guest ticket reservation. There will be 20 tickets available which will go on sale Sunday, the 5th of February and will be sold on http://esagermany.speedcon.eu/tickets. The first 20 people who sign up will get a ticket. If you aren’t under the first 20, you can still get a ticket if somebody drops out. Unfortunately we are only able to accept payments with Paypal. A ticket will cost 10€ and since there is a very high demand on them we guess, that they will be gone fast. Runners who got their runs accepted don’t need to get a guest ticket. We will have more information for you soon.

We are looking forward to a great event,

the ESA Germany Team.

P.S. we are currently in the process of scheduling. If your availability, estimate or anything else concerning your run changes please let us know as soon as possible.

[center][big][big]General information[/big][/big][/center]

Hey, everyone,

I've set this thread up since there are a lot of questions we're repeatedly answering. I'll try to keep it updated whenever any news come out!

[section=General Information] Venue: freiLand Potsdam Mass Housing: Will also be on freiLand Potsdam, just in a different building. Stream: The stream will be running from Thursday 2 pm - Monday 3 am (CEST (UTC+2)) We are planning to do a bonus stream on Monday. Map: Babyhuehnchen has made a great map of the venue and the surrounding. Check it out here.

[section=Tickets] Non runner tickets: Here! All sold out. Runner tickets: Every runner who has his run accepted automatically has a ticket reservation. Cost: The tickets will cost 10 €. Mass Housing: Sadly our Mass Housing is fairly limited and already booked out by runners. Mass Housing will be opened from Thursday afternoon to Monday afternoon.

[section=Schedule] Cuts: Here! Schedule: Here!

[section=Volunteers] Hosting (Donation reading): You can sign up here! Chat mods: Moderator applications are handled by CBenni. You can signup here.

If you have any ideas on what to add here just hit me up on discord or reply to this thread.

We have some news for you!

We now have the confirmation that we can move mass housing into a different building and so we are able to house all of the mass housing reservations.

With that in place we can use the space to increase our capacity to around 70 people.

We have also reserved the stream room one day in advance so we can setup on Wednesday and start earlier on Thursday, meaning more stream time and more runs to be accepted.

We all look forward to the event,

the ESA Germany Team

Well... as far as I know there's no way to manipulate the RNG in any way.

So, I've been looking forward to run a 3D Zelda game and after a lot of thinking I've decided it to be Wind Waker HD. 1. Is the run "easy"? Well I know 3D Zelda runs are never easy but how is it in comparison to other 3D Zelda? 2. Do you play with the gamepad or with a pro controller for example? I think it's really hard to hold the huge gamepad for about 5 hours. 3. Is the written route on speedrun.com or still the current one and does the route change a lot? 4. How do you actually learn such a long speedrun? Do you do it in portions or do you do it all in one? I've never been running a game longer then half an hour. It would be really cool if someone could help me out. Thanks
