Just a fun aside for ya.

I got a N64 controller, 3rd party, a couple months ago. I was brutally disappointed to find out that the controller only has 10 inputs plus joy stick. The N64 controller has 14 inputs plus joystick. Essentially, the d-pad and joystick shared inputs, pretty much making it useless for a number of games.

Two weeks ago, my SNES controller finally broke; a button keeps getting jammed, so can't really use it anymore. So, I went up to the pawn shop, looking for an Xbox controller. Well, apparently and Xbox controller needs a USB adapter to work, so I went with this unmarked, presumably microsoft generic xbox controller.

Got home... and then start playing, to find out it only has 14 inputs. So, I could use for N64. But, here's the thing. The inputs of the d-pad shared inputs with the left joystick, and the x/y/a/b shared inputs with the right joystick (with the R3/L3 buttons having devoted inputs). As you imagine, I was confused and livid. But, at least I could get to work for SNES and runs.

Skip to earlier... I'm playing a game and randomly push the Xbox button in the middle, which turned the P1 light on. All the sudden, the game I was playing stopped working.

Turns out... for whatever reason, the Xbox button seems to actually turn on all the inputs on the controller (my computer recognizes it as a completely different controller all the sudden).

So, long story short, I had bad luck with controllers then caught a lucky break. Also, check to see how many inputs a controller has before you order online.

hello. I noticed people are able to exit duels like they are save and exiting without reseting the emulator. At least that's what it looks like for the purposes of RNG manipulation. How does one do this?

1.) If it comes with a video verification, anyone can see if it's not right.

2.) If every video required a second person to mod, that means every game needs two mods, which seems extreme seeing how there is games with only one runner.

3.) People who caught cheating are banned.

So it's alright.

I have a run pending 21 days for https://www.speedrun.com/gdh2012 Google Hurdles 2012. Don't particularly want to be a mod, but the three mods are all inactive (1 hasn't been on in a month, the other two 6+), and none of the three have any contact listed on their profile, so I have no way to try to reach them.

Depends on what you mean by "better."

Generally speaking (as obviously exceptions exist), a computer is going to be as quick as the hardware you put in it. That being said, most computers can get processors and graphics cards that exceed the hardware of any given console. Thus the game is going to load faster/possibly lag less/have more options or settings on a computer than a console.

But it don't really matter too much as a console run is going to be slower but can be filtered by console runs. A run done on a PS3 for example may be slower than PC runs, but it's still going to be the fastest run on a PS3.

Thanks. I seem to have the basic idea down then. I'm just going to have to better predict what routes are actually going to get competition by the end of the game and preemptively set those prices low so I don't have to menu later on when they get competition, and keep the ones without competition high priced the entire time.

All of appears to go well until I get the competition, and then I appear to lose enough passengers (even when reducing my rates) to hurt my revenue and profit just enough that the other company somehow stays ahead of me. Even when I try to open out new routes on their best routes just to introduce some competition and hurt their routes.

So far in game play, it appears that I "win the scenario." By that I mean, I get my 22 routes, and I get enough money and passenger early on where the advice lady even states victory conditions are already met. But I still end up in "2nd place." This seems to generate a different "end game" screen. I can't find at the moment, as I'm at work but usually talks about "competition happening for the next 15 years" are something. I'm not even sure if that end screen is even allowed for the purposes of a run?

In any case, I'm still slightly under 2 hours. RIP.

So, I get a good location; I restart a few times to get AI to pick crappy locations. Then I proceed to do great for so long, until near towards the end, mostly after 1965, once the other companies (usually jsut one) tends to catch up and then killing my market share on certain routes.

In general, I tend to buy the shittiest planes that go the shortest distances, but that doesn't really seem to help. So, I keep ending up in second, and not getting the winning screen. Is it the planes I'm getting that causes to eventually lose so much in profit and market share?

Thanks in advance.

Done.

"Pingus" doesn't have box art, because it's an open source downloadable game. So, as previously mentioned, title screen makes sense, or just the general game logo (even if it doesn't appear on said box) or whatever graphical art you think most appropriate.

Thanks. I was about to take the plunge thinking no one may have messed with them, but this puts my mind a little bit at ease for sure. Will likely go with this as soon as money allows, and once I get it set up (which... hopefully I do successfully), I will report back and let people know how it goes.

In the meantime my GTX 770 has been acting up something horrible, so hopefully I can get that fixed beforehand and not have to worry about it. If not though, I think my comp will be a lot happier using the capture card and then just using the GPU to stream.

On a GB emu, but GB isn't a platform choice given. =[

125 Levels is up, and SNES has been added to all Difficultly segmented categories. Will have the SNES levels up when I get the chance.

SNES is actually 125 levels. So will add, and then give me a couple days to enter all the levels for the SNES.

Frame rates are apparently higher, which causes faster loading times and animations for pause menus and the like.

Nevermind. Homebrew version.

@Ewil Apple II GS would fall under Apple II for the purposes of the site. (I got Apple II added for a Apple II GS game added some time ago). Amstrad CPC is already currently on the site.

Turning the mic volume to zero will effectively mute any microphone that may be active. So, to answer your question, you are safe like you've already done.
