Hi. I'm NeverFirst1, but you could call me Never, Goose Guy, Goose, Chef Guy, or even Chef! I'm a speedrunning novice. Now, why I'm not a total speedrunning newbie is because I'm at least somewhat able to perform easy tricks. I wanna get better, but never be the best. I wanna always have someone be better than me, and that's practically everyone on this website. I know I've already made an introduction a while back, but that was a year ago. I've changed. Now I know that I'm able to do well in speedrunning, but not to the point of discovering a new trick. My new goal is to just have fun. Also, since then, I've lost my Nintendo Switch Lite, so now I wanna focus on Xbox One Speedrunning. That means that instead of speedrunning games like "Mario 64" "Ocarina of Time" or "Kirby and the Forgotten Land", I'll be speedrunning other games. Keep in mind that for a while, my speedrunning recordings will be low-quality, since I don't have a capture card, nor do I have an Xbox of my own. It's the Family Xbox, and I think that I'll have to wait to get my own "Xbox Series S" to even start recording speedruns. But I'll still practice! I'll practice until I'm good! And maybe I'll even be among some of the good speedrunners! But I'll never be first. But that's OK, because I'm having fun! (EDIT: If when I do submit a speedrun, it feels less professional, or less serious, it's intentional. I won't do this full-time, but I'll try to do at least 2 or 3 per year. And also, I will try to make the speedruns as entertaining as possible to make up for the lack of skill, and some of them feeling like more optimized casual playthroughs.)
Hello! I'm NeverFirst, but you can just call me "Never". I don't mind. Anyways, I watched speedruns, and thought that they looked cool and that I wanted to try! Then... I saw the baggage. And that's how my username was made! I'm just a casual speedrunner, and aim for the top 10 if possible! Not top 3, not top 5, top 10's good enough for me. I'm only gonna speedrun Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, and maybe some Nintendo DS games. But I won't speedrun full time... because (A) I'm not that dedicated to speedrunning, and (B) I've got a lot of other things. Speedrunning's gonna be a fun hobby for me, and if it gets unfun, I'll take some time off of speedrunning. But I've also got a metal band (and we're making our debut album a double album with 24 songs in total, so that's gonna be a bit tough,) and I'm also writing books (but I'm not gonna try to publish them until I'm confident with my writing abilities,) so I can't focus on speedrunning full time, even if I wanted to! Also, I can't record footage yet. First of all, I don't have a capture card, so there's that. Secondly, I have a Switch Lite, and I don't know if those can output video. And lastly, I don't wanna risk bricking my system, as that would be devastating. So for now, I'll just practice speedrunning games until I can record footage, and start submitting runs.
GOALS: Get into the top 10 for at least 2 of the levels in Minecraft Dungeons, and stay in the top 10 for more than a week Get 10th place, or better (but not first place) on an RPG Discover a new speedrun tactic, maneuver, or make a new speedrun category Get a full game speedrun that's under 2 hours Speedrun every level in Minecraft Dungeons (including the DLC) individually And most importantly... NEVER GET FIRST PLACE
I'll be in the forums for now, but when I can record footage, you'll see me live up to my username! I will never get first place, and that's OK! I'm not looking for first place. I'm just here to have fun.
