So I know that although bedrock doesn’t have official version switching support like java, many 3rd party tools are available: with this, of course, comes the risk of installing a non-genuine minecraft bedrock version (genuine as in equal to the one once available on the iOS app store, for instance). Is anyone aware of the mainstream (as well as officially recognised by moderators) clients being used to access bedrock edition on older versions / multiplatform?

I’m definitely sure this is accepted by speedrun.com, since here, by clicking the ‘+14’ button under the ‘Minecraft Series’ header, linux and mac appear: https://www.speedrun.com/mcbe/news

In particular my areas of interest are:

-old versions:

iOS

android

-platform support:

mac

linux

I checked this link, but the date tab reads “Updated 7 years ago”, so I’m sure much has changed:

https://www.speedrun.com/mcbe/resources/9nadq

This instead, from 3 years ago, doesn’t seem to be of much use to me unfortunately:

So, any suggestions?

Thx ;-)
