Can easily be practiced by starting Sand 1, you will start at the same area with the same bee, same AI.

Bee doesn't inflate 100%, meaning the skip is RNG dependent. Still believe there are ways to manipulate this.

This is not a new strat, it's exactly like Squids normal ricochet. It can be nice to use in 7-1 to speed up time. I do the impact bounce there, same principle.
I will be uploading a tutorial series on all my skips, including this one. :) Does anyone have a rough estimate of how much time it saves?
You have a clipping stat on PC? Good thing you switched to GC then - practicing the ricochet bounce is done by using big eggs of the same size and once you have the timing down, keep decreasing the egg size. I suck now, rusty as fuck, but I used to be able to pull it off 1/3 of the time.
Gate clip.. it's a complete muscle memory trick that needs a few days of consistent practice. It might be worth finding an alternative to it like the trick you came up with.
Not to burst your bubble as it's a sick find but enemy clipping isn't inconsistent at all either. It might be you playing on PC version but I can pull of 1-1 clip, 1-3 and 1-6 almost 100%.. Practice you noob <3
Just clipped through the gate that blocks the treasure room, I once skipped the cutscene trigger as well by using the circus hat and rolling there over the water. I still don't know if it's faster, 2-5 is pretty optimized but it's still a very cool trick to use.
Now for the real question.. Can we use this to get to Corvo? :0
Very interesting, I can't believe I didn't try using this before. I don't think it's going to be faster in most cases, but if you find ways to use it and speed up times that would be amazing. Let us know! One instance where I know this will lead to new possibilities is the treasure in the captain room. Can you try clipping through that wall?
Also, puzzle board ricochet isn't inconsistent.. it's just a difficult maneuver. Also, in 1-3 you don't need to hatch any eggs by enemy clip either.

So not only is it strange that there is a literal bee hell that spawns strong bees about five times as much as anywhere else in the game, when you try to climb up the slide where you normally slide down in (1-1) there's an invisible wall holding you back at the top. Could there be an important loading zone behind it/somewhere around the beginning area?
I'm intrigued.

Oh shit, I thought it actually produced that sound for coins in set v.s. just rapid succession. Hm, back to the lab. :)
Little update:
Do a test - after talking to the mini game guy collect the first three coins that are on the first slope closest to you. At the third one, it should make a different sound as it's considered a collection and it will add to you time. However, when you stand in front of the first coin, kick the egg away and walk down the slope (the egg will follow you naturally) the egg will collect the first two coins, make that sound and when the third one is collected by only the egg without Billy touching it, it will repeat that sound.
This means there are basically ways to fuck around with the clock, which is a little, tiny shimmer of hope for a mini game skip.
Actually just got to test both on Dolphin and it doesn't seem like dying at the exact moment you talk to the mini game guy does anything. Neither is an emblem hidden in the waterfall cave. Seems like we'll have to get more creative with this one.

I tried contacting you through Twitter but it seems I couldn't message you somehow.
I don't know if you've seen the new Waterfall skip, but it means it is suddenly a lot more interesting to research mini game coin level (1-4). I am hoping there is a way to complete it faster than the two minute timer and I thought of luring the purple big cat at the beginning area of the game up to the mini game man and starting the conversation at the exact frame you get hit by the cat and die. I haven't been able to do this correctly though, and was wondering if you could help me out by using TAS to perform this task.
Another thing I am interested in is if the emblem for waterfall is perhaps already present in the mini game level and if you have some kind of hack to get in there. It would be so cool if you could help me do some research on the stage

Finding out the waterfall cave was connected there literally made my jaw drop in amazement.

Hey guys,
I was just wondering if there are any alternative routes to the one we currently have that's kind of close that could be interesting to look into.
For example, after beating 100 crows in Dino in 2:13 you can get the rescue Chick mission in under 30 seconds with my egg bounce skip - then you can also do the Runny race which is only like 48 seconds. I'm also optimizing (6-7) emblem at top of the pillar.
Can anyone fill me in on what currently are the slowest levels? I wonder with the new skips and all if we could optimize the route.
