You can prevent the "lava bucket glitch" - When you try to pick up the lava, but it doesn't work - in Mobile, by taking the corners first, then the middle, in the End Portal 3x3 lava pool. After that you can take the rest of the lava with no problem. It's because the first flow - And only the first - glitches when you try and take it. I don't know if this is the same to PC too tho.

Also, when you use the hay bale, you don't have to MLG the first jump to the spawner. You can take fall damage and still survive the second jump.
