Wow that's insane you're totally right Great find! It's pretty hard to pull off so great work getting a few off in one run LOL.
I think it's a totally legit strat, and to my knowledge not a single person had used it before. I appreciate it! Thanks for running Kiwi :)
How are these double jumps possible? In years of playing I haven't seen this happen before. Nice run btw.
Wow I'm a moron, thanks Kaloncpu57. It's just holding shift, I should have known lol.
Hey all, I played a lot of Kiwi 64 and Macbat and wanted to run this game as well, I just am confused how people are using the booster pack thing on new runs? Do you need to collect all gems then delete a specific file to start over?
To the wonderful community of Kiwi 64,
I just wanted to say that as of my recent 100% run, I'm done with Kiwi 64 permanently. I've had so much fun over the years challenging myself against very talented runners. While this marks the end of my journey I hope that others can continue to push the bounds of what we previously knew was possible. I hope so much that the switch edition for this game takes off.
I want to let everyone know I deleted the discord server for Kiwi. It's been stagnant for far too long and I would like for it to come back but with an admin who has a deep desire for fostering the community.
For a last point I want to thank the community. I want to thank all the runners who have been here over the years, the runners who made this category exist, and the moderators who spent countless times watching my runs whenever I felt the record could go down.
You all are great people's and I hope the best for all of you. At this point I'm deleting Kiwi and hopefully moving on to another speedrun. Much love to everyone here,
Mode7
Good run, sad RNG on some sounds, nice gold splits! Do another.
Interestingly, I reached out to one of the developers on Twitter, he said he doesn't remember the exact date but he thinks it would be in September of '96: https://twitter.com/DarpaDan/status/1315780652856352768
I'm glad you brought this up! Everything I've seen points to it being released in December of 1996.
This page in Billboard states that Dreamworks was planning on a December release for Goosebumps Escape From Horrorland. Published August 24th 1996
Then we can see in the following magazine: https://books.google.com/books?id=y-hfa6YSVFAC&lpg=PT20&dq=goosebumps%20escape%20from%20horrorland&pg=PT20#v=onepage&q=goosebumps%20escape%20from%20horrorland&f=false
That it's part of the gift guide on PC Mag published on December 17th 1996.
The best I can tell is that was released at some point between December 1st, and December 17th.
Rules have been updated to reference this forum post on removing the load times. Good notes!
Sounds are the real run killer. I would like to do some theory crafting soon to see when the sound effects take place. Thanks for your run!
Great work on the run! I had no idea about the exit behind on the mummy. Thanks for playing!
