I was merely curious about video game compilation packs, which are common in these and have a list of games in one volume. Most of them are arcade games, but there are some from previous consoles. I had to consult the system's  speed run page to determine where  to list  a speed run for one of  these. It's not clear if the video game compilation for the system or the original system is under EMU.

I was thinking of doing a speed run of a modded Galaxian game with Mario characters. The same story goes for an Asteroid clone for the Vectrex.

I've attempted that with limited success.

I just did a speed run for the zxspec, with the game river raid. However, there doesn't seem to be a section for that. Little help.

Hey, wait a minute, there are hosts of compilation packs. I know it's difficult for me to get MAME working,  forcing me to resort to other methods. I have trouble getting the jzintv to work. I managed to get it to work on my RG350, but RetroArch seems to lock you out when trying to fix the problem, and forces you to use a task manager.

There are a number of games that have not yet had their own speed run leaderboards, such as Megamania and Asteroids' clone called Mine Storm. If you want, I will show you as much information as you need. I was told to be level after I tried to summit one game.

I was approached by someone from the Reddit community about speed running on those handheld EMU, like the Evercade or RG350. Even with the proper gear and following the rules of speed running, I was not sure if they counted.

I'm already stuck if RetroArch is allowed, now that.

There was also a clone of the game called Mine Storm for the Vectrex. It was released as a pack-in system, but glitched after a certain amount of levels. A cartridge called MineStorm II was released with the glitch fixed. Those who reported the glitch were given it free of charge.

Just check if your email is authorized. Try to send information about an Asteroid's clone to the Vertex. I was asked this. I just went to one of the mods to explain it.

I am experiencing difficulties with trying to get OBS to work properly. I have decided to use it to show what EMU I had to use.

I was thinking, as I have done a round in the normal game play. This means, I was playing in the main game rather than time trial. I've noticed there doesn't appear to be a separate section for such.

I got a trial on the rotational challenge I was playing.

I don't plan on calling a speed run, because it's meant as a practice.

I was trying to play the Simpsons Arcade with this setting. I had me thinking if others tried, since the goal is to finish a game in the shortest amount of time. Keep in mind, I'm a newbie on speed runs despite gaming for years, so I had to set some rules. (I'm a 90s.)

Rule 1: If the game has unlimited credits, set the amount and don't add anymore upon starting the game.

Rule 2: If the game as a limit, you can only go as that amount.

Rule 3: If you must, start with one credit. If you die and insert another credit, you must change your character to the next one on the line. You can only go back to the first character after the others. Plus, you have to add the credit to overall score.

Rule 4: This is oblivious. Only games that allow you to choose a character, e.g. the Knights of the Round.

Rule 5: You'll need to count all the credits needed. The lesser amount is okay.

Rule 6: No cheats of any kind, pretty much self-explanatory.

Rule 7: You must list what console you were playing the game. If it's an emulator, it has to be noted. Again, this one is self-explanatory.

Rule 8: In the event of a multiplayer, you can't change rules midway. They had to settled in the beginning and must be as followed. This was inspired by an episode of the Muppet Babies.

Rule 9: You'll need to time your gameplay. How you record the footage is optional. Again, this one is self-explanatory.

Rule 10: Only games with the option of unlimited credits. If you're playing one with a limit amount after the final one, it's game over.

Let know if anyone additional will need to be made.

EDIT: I don't know how to move this aside from copy/paste. Plus, set of rules isn't just the Simpsons.

Say, is it okay if you have to something like Retro Arch for emulators?

Of course, if I was to set rules, I would have to be clear on what is allowed.

I had to bring that up because I know someone is going to try to use any cheats. I rather just go for trial and error, before trying any speed run.

My advice: if you're going, set a speed run challenge that allows a cheat, please point out what is allowed and mark it.

As you know, I'm new to the concept of speed running and not much good at it. As in, I often died in games. This got me thinking. How about speed runs with the amount of times you have to restart? Not the entire game, I mean, when you die in a level, you have to respawn in the spot. Of course, games with unlimited continues will have to do. Count the times that continue screen is displayed before going for it again.
