Hello! I’ve wanted to maybe try my hand at running MC Java in the future, main categories or otherwise, but the small issue is that I don’t use a keyboard and mouse to play like pretty much everyone else does; rather, I had set up a Joy2Key layout to replicate a controller layout as best as possible when I first got the game, and it works really well!

Since it’s a very obscure thing, there’s obviously nothing that specifically states the usage of a controller in the rules, so I would like to know if it would be okay to play using one? I can send and explain my layout to anyone who might need to review it in case, but it mostly replicates how one would play on, say, Legacy Console, except for the inventory/creative menu, since the menus are different. No macros are used, except for repeating the scroll wheel to scroll through the hotbar items when holding a shoulder button, and the only significant change in my layout compared to controls for console versions of MC is the d-pad having a few quality of life additions, like taking screenshots with d-pad right.

I’ll check here again every now and then if I don’t forget, but if that’s okay, I’ll be more certain to see an answer on Discord, so feel free to DM me in case. Was just mainly wondering this since my mouse movement would probably look too robotic-like to be natural, but I’m awful at using keyboard to want to use it. Hopefully this isn’t against the rules!
