To add on to what @Aronifa said, yes, you are more than welcome to use the Turbowarp version of the game. In fact, it's what I used to submit the game to speedrun.com. As long as you don't use the 60 FPS toggle or the bypass function, you're set.

Although I appreciate your request and am glad you are enjoying Mello as a speedgame, I am not currently accepting moderators at this time. Considering the game has only been on speedrun.com for a couple of days and the leaderboards are mostly inactive, there is no need for any additional moderators. In the situation that the game becomes more active and I need some extra assistance, I may reconsider when the event arises.

This is because while the in-game rank counter may only show 'Rank 4', the players actually did reach rank 5 because they reached the required amount of tips (that being $70.00).

The reason the game does not show Rank 5 is because the players did a double rank up by achieving enough tips to quote-on-quote "skip" a rank which had a lower amount of tips. For instance, the first place run had $43.74 at rank 3 on day 4, which was not enough to reach rank 4. However, by getting enough tips from customers and getting two bronze medals from Cooper and Kingsley (the two first-day customers), which give $9.00 each, they managed to get a total tip amount of $70.02, which is enough for rank 5, so rank 4 is "skipped." However, Maggie, the customer unlocked after achieving rank 4, will still be unlocked the next day.

For clarification, all of this is done to skip a day, which saves major amounts of time (about 3 minutes). Most runs will be completed in six days, but by "skipping" the rank, the run can be completed in five days.

I’ve had some experience retiming runs of random games in the past, so I’d be happy to volunteer for the position.

I had considered it a while back, but wasn't able to get it working. Now, all 10 levels have their own categories. Unfortunately, due to the way speedrun.com operates, there is no way to remove the 100% categories on the three bosses, so those will have to stick around for the time being. Thanks for being patient, everyone. Apologies it took so long.

As they are my current settings, yes, those properties are allowed as they are compatible with Crystal Seeker and do not hinder the code of the game. It can potentially cause lag on weaker devices, but unless this poses problems, these settings are allowed on the leaderboards until further notice.

As the moderator of this game, the 60 FPS link is currently allowed on all boards. If issues arise or if certain skips are only viable with 60 FPS, then two separate categories will be made for the two. The leaderboard category rules should now specify that using Turbowarp and its 60 FPS link are allowed.

I'd like to request Super Mario 64: Render96 to be added to the rom hack leaderboards.

The creators of the hack are the Render96 team. (This was a multi-individual project, and from my understanding, each member has remained anonymous.)

There are multiple additions to the hack, such as cheats, Super Mario Odyssey movement, an extended moveset, and even Luigi as an unlockable and playable character.

There could be a vast amount of categories for the game, including 0-120 star with either Mario or Luigi, BLJ%, Odyssey Movement, Extended Moveset, and Luigi Unlock%, which is the run I did in the video.

It seems like a good idea to me. They may not be as popular as other categories, but it'll be a nice addition to the page.
