Yup, it happens by accident to a fair amount of runners. The same effect can happen with a punch too.

This is what we call a rocket uppercut. The rails in Volcanic Crater have a lot of spots that give them, but the only one that we've found useful is in front of Lava Tube for Lava Tube Skip. Nice find, though!

The recent PS4 patch switched the game to the Greatest Hits version, which is the version the PS3 release used and has citadel skip patched on NTSC. For some reason the skip still works on PAL.
