Me and the Speedrunning Discord have been hard at the grind, trying new things one at a time. Today, we offer a proposition, as voted on by the Speedrunning Discord Community. The 4 New Speedruns I propose are:

Mario Strikers Charged: Gauntlet Basically, Fire Cup Normal, Crystal Cup Normal, Striker Cup Normal, All Lessons, and finally All Challenges. Think of this as 100%. Timing ends what the timer reaches 0 on the last challenge of your choosing (note: you have to actually complete the challenges for it to count). Example -

Mario Strikers Charged: Mega-Gauntlet The same thing as Gauntlet, but instead of ending with the Normal Striker Cup, you have to also complete the Extreme Striker Cup as well, making this the TRUE 100% Category. Timing ends when you win the Striker Cup and the clock strikes 0.

Twin Cups This speedrun is to do the Striker cup first on Normal difficulty, and then do the Striker cup on Extreme difficulty, henceforth, the name: Twin Cups. Timing ends when you win the striker cup and the clock strikes 0.
4). All Captain’s Cup [This is geared towards high-level MSC players, and an excellent way for them to warm up] (NO MEGASTRIKES ALLOWED) In domination mode, the settings are 5 goals, 1 set per game, and Megastriker Difficulty. You get to select your captain, but then you will have to defeat each captain by scoring 5 goals against them. Timing ends once you defeat the 11th and final captain of your choosing. The timer starts once you start against the first captain. Example 1- Example 2-
We have voted on all of the rules collectively, so we ask you Tech. We want more people to get into speedrunning this game, and I have high hopes that these new categories will entice people to run this game more (ESPECIALLY the All Captains Cup). The likes for this post will be those from our Discord who support this idea. With that in mind, we the speedrunning community beg you for these.

Some of the people on the Speedrun Discord are curious about emulations since we don't know enough about it or how it affects the game. They have expressed wanting to speedrun with emulation, but I've never used emulation before, so I needed to ask someone with more knowledge about the topic. Mainly, they have referenced Dolphin as what they are asking about. The only thing we know is that it says on the game rules that (The only type of emulation allowed is USB loader), but they wanted to do it with Dolphin. If any person or moderator could let us know about emulators and the rules for them, as well as if Dolphin is allowed, we would really appreciate it. Thanks.

After finding out that there is a big competitive MSC Discord Server, I had to think about what I was going to do next. Since the competitive Discord Server isn't really geared towards speedrunning as much from what I was told there, I have decided to put both on here so people can first of all find the big discord server, as well as the Discord tied to speedrunning this game. I will make 2 new thread after this one to post both.
Since the old Discord server link has expired, I have gone ahead and created a brand new community discord server for this game and the community. I hope that we can continue to enjoy Mario Strikers Charged together on this new server for many years to come.
So the old discord server for Mario Super Sluggers is invalid now. Since that is the case, I have gone ahead and created a new server for our community so that we have one. According to the rules of this game, the only emulation allowed is USB Loader GX, but any other type of emulation is banned. I would say no on this case, but I would ask one of the moderators perhaps?
No one knows the answer to that question. We can only speculate that it will either just stop production and be sold through retailers, or (my wishful-thinking theory) they will sell them as stand-alone titles on the Nintendo eShop (which I hope they do, but knowing Nintendo, probably won't happen).
